In this episode, I'm hiking with Nicola to a hidden gem in the Swiss Alps: Capanna del Forno (2574m)
It's a mountain hut located almost at the end of Forno Valley, a loooong glacial valley that starts from Maloja Pass, in the Engadin region and leads to the mountains of Bregaglia range (border with Italy, Valmalenco and Val di Mello on the other side).
The upper part of the valley is still covered with what remains of Forno Glacier, a long ice tongue that is retiring year after year at exponential speed.
We spent the night in a tent very close to the hut, and enjoyed this incredible environment with every condition: from afternoon to blue hour light, in the night (with milky way and rising moon) and also the soft morning light at sunrise. It's been unbelievable! I've been really happy to discover this place. It's simply magical and Nicola was a great adventure buddy :-)
