The Hidden Meanings Behind Digital Circus... 

So... think I should make a follow up video on Digital Circus? ;)

What stood out to me was that the short story "I have no mouth and I must scream" was a major inspiration, and if you look at the character designs, pomni is the only one with a proper mouth. Zooble and Kinger are fully missing them, gangle and ragatha wear mouths as if theyre superimposed onto their faces (gangle's as part of the mask and ragatha's paper mouth), and jax's teeth are shut 99% of the time. Pomni is the only one who has a mouth that can fully open into her head. However, you know who else has a mouth? Perhaps even, is entirely made of mouth? Our beloved little ringmaster ai

When Pomni sees herself in the mirror, it's the ONE AND ONLY REACTION from her that isn't panicked or bewildered... its eerily calm, like her "new" appearance is FAMILIAR to her. That's kinda why I think her avatar was set up by the version of her who put on the headset, or that her new form is something that she was subconsciously aware of before. It's like she's thinking "this is what I look like." the same way anyone would on a daily basis, instead of "WHY DO I LOOK LIKE A WEIRD JESTER WHY DO MY EYES LOOK LIKE THAT WHAT THE $!@#?% IS GOING ON"

A theory I would like to share. Kaufmo may have faked his death, when Caine found out Kaufmo abstracted the way he reacts gives off the idea he already knew but pretended to act like he didn’t know for comedy sake, but if he did really knew why didn’t he just took him out while he could and if he didn’t how come he didn’t went into his room to check on him when he didn’t show up for the intro. Well that may be because Kaufmo managed to either fake his own death by placing someone who had abstracted in his own room to fake his death or he escaped and Caine had to fake his death to make sure people didn’t found out that he actually found a way out, with the later seeming more likely since Caine is the only one who has access to the cellar. In case you didn’t know Kaufmo is named after Andy Kaufman a comedian famous for supposedly faking his own death which sorta add fuel to the theory

To be clear, clowns and jesters are different. Clowns make fools of themselves, jesters make fools of the audience

Disney picked a bad era to be uncreative, when there are tools for anyone to be creative.

3:33 i'd also like to mention he's a rabbit. Which is your quintessential prey animal. So I feel like that means the reason he tries to get a one up on everyone is because deep down he feels afraid and helpless. Which reflects his actions, what is the first thing he does when seeing Kaufmo abstracted? He runs. He flees like the prey animal he is. And from then on he kind of denies the situation rather than confronting it. "Oh Kaufmo, he's fiiiine, he's doing great even!" like, its sarcasm, but also on some level he's too afraid to even deal with the reality of it all.

Pomni looks more like a harlequin (you can tell by the way the hat looks), which is actually pretty interesting when you look into what harlequins were supposed to be in their shows. Harlequins were basically devil characters in their shows, which is why their hats look like devil horns, as opposed to the way that clown hats look like dunce caps and how jester hats look like an exaggerated crown (as they were supposed to look like mockeries of the king). Now, since Pomni has the appearance of a harlequin, who're stand-ins for the devil, she's the only one who consistently sees the exit and how her name is literally Russian for the word "remember", I have a bit of a feeling that Pomni's gonna do something that'll break the Amazing Digital Circus WIDE OPEN.

A friend of mine who's written more than one story set in heII raised the obvious question - does Caine even know what the "outside" IS? He treats it Iike something he had to buiId. No wonder no one asked. He can't process where they're coming from.

I don't think Jax is as big of a jerk as we initially think he is. He comes off as a major jerk, and he is, but I feel he cares a lot more and is kinder than he lets on. I'm going to go through his major moments and break down how many of them were kinder or more harmless than many assume. 1: Meeting/interacting with Pomni When Pomni first joins the circus, it's obvious that she's confused and freaking out. Ragatha attempts to sugar-coat what's happening when Pomni asks about leaving. Jax rips the band-aid off and tells her that they can't leave. At that moment, Pomni is looking for answers, not comfort, and this may be my autism talking, but Jax's bluntness and ability to get straight to the point likely helped Pomni understand the situation and prosses her new reality much quicker than if they just let Ragatha tip-toe around the topic. Later when they're on their way to meet Kaufmo, Jax makes a joke about Pomni trying to pretend this was all a dream. Both of the previous times Pomni claimed it was a dream, he was the only one to react, and he did it in a way that made it obvious that he and the others knew it wasn't a dream, as to not give her false hope, while also not outright making fun of her. Another thing to point out is that Pomni never has a negative reaction to Jax. To a situation Jax pointed out? Yes. To Jax himself? No. While this isn't an indication of how Pomni feels about Jax, it does show that Jax's comments didn't hurt her. 2: His interactions with Zooble Zooble and Jax seem to have the most similar mindset. When Jax says that they can't leave and stuff, they'll tell him to shut up and then confirm and/or agree with what he said. They're both sarcastic and don't want to bother with meaningless fluff, which is why they both avoid going on the Gloinks quest at first. They both know that the Gloinks aren't a threat and are just an inconvenience. I get major sibling energy from their dynamic. 3: His interactions with Kinger and Gangle (These are some of the harder ones to explain but here we go) Kinger and Gangle are the least stable of the main cast as far as I can tell. Kinger is a anxious mess that has forgotten human social cues while Gangle's emotions are dictated by her masks, which are easy to break (Caine probably fixes them often since Gangle says that her comedy mask is broken again). Since he knows the Gloinks are harmless and that Zooble is in no real danger, he trusts the day's quest to them. When he learned that Kaufmo abstracted, he ran away to where they were. When there, he says that Kaufmo is fine (sarcastically, but they didn't pick up on that and I get the vide that he didn't expect them to) then he hears the abstracted Kaufmo and pushes them both into the Gloink hole and jumping in himself. He later confesses that he was only down there to avoid Kaufmo. I interpreted this as him being helpful because 1: he got both Kinger and Gangle to safety and 2: He did it without telling them because while Pomni needed his bluntness, they didn't and telling them straight up before it was truly necessary because they needed to finish the quest so Caine would be there to take care of Kaufmo. If they knew, they would have been to panicked to finish the quest and that would have been a much more dangerous situation. 4: His interactions with Ragatha Ragatha is the character we see him mess with the most, but she and Zooble also are the characters that are able to handle his jabbing the best, which is likely why he focuses on them instead of those who would be more hurt by his words. When they learn that Kaufmo abstracted, he ran and left them behind, but I see no reason why he wouldn't assume they would run as well. I also get sibling vibes here. 5: His reactions/interactions with Caine and the world itself Jax seems to be the human that understands how the Circus works the best. When Pomni shows up the first thing he mentions is that they're going to need to rework the theme song to work her in. He also understands the formula best, predicting a brand new adventure (implying that Caine reuses adventures sometimes, like replaying a level in a videogame). This is also the reason I think he knew to go finish the quest to bring Caine back. Another thing to consider is the fact that he has keys to everyone's room. How would he get his hands on those if he didn't understand the mechanics of the digital world? At the end he has a debate with Kinger about Kinger feeling the need to explain that they don't need to eat after Jax says that he's hungry. Going back to the keys, maybe he has those for multiple reasons. Like pranking people for one, but also to ensure he's able to check on them like he did for Kaufmo. TL:DR Jax is blunt when he needs to be, but also knows when to hide info, he only goes as far as he knows the others can handle and he understands the world enough to be able to get the others to a safe area if anything serious happens. (please note, I'm explaining, not excusing any of his behavior. There are many situations where I feel he does take it a bit to far, mostly with Gangle)

On Ragatha, it's heavily implied by Gooseworx (the creator of TADC) that she didn't have the best home life. When asked on why she seemed upset with Pomni leaving her, despite saying it's okay, Gooseworx said that she'll sometimes say things that she doesn't mean as an attempt to avoid conflict. I think that also could tie into your whole thing about her being a ragdoll!

In game dev terms, you usually have a default or placeholder of an object to fill memory where you intend for something to be later on and then overwrite the placeholder with the new data once it's ready. If we view the living quarters as locations in memory, it could mean that the characters were being erroneously saved as npc data overwriting the pose doll placeholders. With the game seeing them as npcs and not players, they wouldn't have access to player options such as 'quit.'

I love this show. Kinger and Jax are my favorites so far. It's amazing how far Glitch has come and how much support they've been getting. I hope you watch mor episodes when they come out, and check out their other series.

You should explore the possibility of Kinger and Queenie both being devs or game testers, and the reason why one of kingers first lines is about a "bug collection" was because queenie was calling the place that caine puts abstractions in as the "Bug collection" and he would remember that because they were there to find and possibly even fix any bugs, and queenie's disappearance being that she needed to get in there either because thats actually some sort of way to escape or because she needed to fix them. its entirely possible she had no way to get in there aside from abstracting and thats what she's done, while laying the trap, setting up the piece on the chessboard that would eventually make its way back in there (that being kinger) that would cause her to un abstract or perhaps be fixed by him

I don't know if anyone else has picked this up but Queenie is a black queen chess piece while Kinger, is the white chess piece. Typically in chess the black chess pieces are meant to take out the white chess pieces and vis versa, maybe its just a fun design but Idk, I'd like to hear what others think.

I think that if the headset uses brain scanning technology for avatar creation, then maybe the characters in TADC are duplicates of the player's brains. Maybe the real life people put on the headset, see a loading screen, a menu and then just... black or something. Once they take the headset off, they get confused and never come back.

I think a lot of the characters could represent coping strategies for existential breakdowns! Jax-Denial Raggatha-Optimism Pomni-Desperation Kinger-Anxiety Gangle-Brooding Zooble-Apathetic Kaufmo-Psychosis I wouldn't call Jax's coping strategy "mean behavior" because he outwardly lies and downplays events throughout the pilot just to claim that everything is okay The meaning of brooding for Gangle is a form of emotionally-focused sadness that she gets completely hung up on I called it Pyschosis for Kaufmo bus it's more representative of like a "total mental breakdown" I think the others are a little more obvious but idk! Maybe the coping strategy symbolism goes farther than that, like Bubble- Binge Eating Moon- Unhealthy Romantic/Sexual Distractions Sun- Withdrawl From Society Caine- Overbearing/Misconnected Empathy Gloink Queen???? - Need for Responsibility/Superiority Complex? That's kind of a coping strategy maybe?? IDK LOL

Queenie was most certainly _not_ Kingie's queen. Queenie was from the opposite colour set to Kingie, so an adversary and the greatest threat to him. Also, anyone else notice the floor of the main area in the tent is a chess board?

Zooble is based off Memphis Design, an architectural movement developed in the early 1980s. Computer games in the 1980s were 8bit ATARI in aesthetic. This makes me think of KidPix or “ReBoot”, both of which premiered in the later half of the 1990s.

I feel like Ragatha for me is my favorite and most relatable because I've been a people pleaser most of my life. Then I realize being that gets me in trouble.

I think there is ONLY SIX character slots of each type. And Chess Queen was the first in this set and became abstracted, and King was her REPLACEMENT. He might never even met her in a first place. Just like Pomni replaced a clown-type character when he became abstracted.

A theory on Zooble: Zooble is apparently based on one of those pull apart put together toys (kinda like the Potata Heads) and has a chest of customizable parts in their room. Maybe instead of Jax taking control through chaos around him, Zooble takes control by changing their appearance. In their intro you see then get annoyed by their antenna placement so they swap them. Maybe in life they had very little control over their life so they expressed themselves with clothing, piercing, hair dye, and the like. Goose has said Zooble was the most recent character before Pomni so they still resist and try to make choices for themselves by denying going on adventures and changing their form. This does lead to them being rather unstable since their ability to manipulate leads to them being pulled apart by the Gloinks and loosing their control.

The big season finally is when Pomni finds out that the real her never actually got transported into the world, and left her behind. Then having to come to terms with the fact that she's quite literally just stuck there until she's meant to abstract.

I firmly believe this is mid to late 90's. The computers in the office, as well as the yellowed computer Pomni goes wacko about seeing, along with the "VR" headset seeming like a modern VR headset with an old computer look to it. I'm really excited to see where this series goes. There is a LOT to look at and explore with themes and plot points.

I was relatively young when gravity falls was airing and I didn’t even know there was such a big fandom while it was still going on. I only really got into it a couple years after it ended (when I was around 11-12) but watching it after the fact with my brother we absolutely loved it and binged it. it made it even better when I came across the fan base. This show, it’s giving me those kind of vibes. It’s definitely too early to tell how good it will truly be but seeing the pilot, it resonates really good potential and I can’t wait to see if it has what I call the “gravity falls effect”. As a side note great video, man!

I love the theory of Pomni always being the butt of a joke in her real life and that's the reason for her being a jester!

I like how you stated that "performance" remark about the all of the character's apparent emotional mechanisms. Really brings home the circus aesthetic as people perform for others in both senarios.

Haven't seen a DazzReviews video since the Pikmin days of old, but I gotta say, this new style is really working for you. Great stuff. I look forward to your future endeavors.

Jax may be inspired by classic rubber hose animated characters like -bugs bunny -oswald the lucky rabbit -feels the rabbit (Sonic the Hedgehog prototype design.)

sort of surprised dazz talked about digital circus but at the same time thats expectable because of how god damn popular it got (which honestly wasnt expecting but it was a nuke) Also i pray for glitch and gooseworks because the fanbase is crazy both in a good way and a bad way as very popular things go

I think the line "I can't believe Kaufmo gave up like that" is supposed to mean that every remaining player (who still has their character) believes they can still escape. I really enjoy thinking about Kinger's reason to still be sane and not abstract, mayhaps a promise to the Queen that he must keep going and keep trying just for her. Obviously, his dementia will remove anything from his past for tragedy's sake, but the weight of a promise may be triumphant enough to turn his life into a Comedy.

The office bit gave me HUGE vibes of The Stanley Parable. An unending office space that can lead to madness or absolute chaos. Or both.

You know its weird how many parallels I see to hasbin/helluva with this series. Characters had a previous life before the events of the actual show which inform their character designs. Except instead of everyone basically just being furries, in this case it gets a lot more abstract. But also, this show doesnt lack some religious themes, with the Caine and Able thing, C&A obviously alludes to. But not only that but I mean the phrase "oh my god" is said quite a few times, I feel like it has to be intentional. And as a small note the last scene is reminiscent of the last supper, with everyone sitting at the same side of the table, which, you could say is just for the same reason, but given the other religious references I think that was yet another hint. So much so that my working theory is the premise of this show is "What if you went to heaven, but felt trapped?" probably based on the idea that you lose all your memories when you go to heaven, which is a concept based on a misinterpretation of Isaiah 65:17. (the verse speaks more of essentially God's perspective not our own, and obviously not in a literal sense) but nonetheless many people take that idea away from the verse.

Current thoughts: In the game Soma, one major plot point is making a digital copy of yourself to send into a happy digital world, even if you yourself can't escape grim reality. At least some version of you somewhere is happy at least? Zero Time Dilemma also had a similar plot point like that. I wonder if this show is specifically aimed to subvert that trope. The real life counterparts of these characters have bad lives and/or are stuck in a bad/dying world. So they decide to upload a copy of themselves into their favorite childhood game so that some version of them have a chance to live carefree lives where nothing matters. Only that doesn't work, because videogame worlds are small, and the human psyche isn't really built to live in such a small, limited world. Or have the mind be literally tampered by programming and glitches. So they inevitably go insane and get abstracted. Also, I think a scene breakdown of that final scene with Pomni at the end would be really neat, considering there's a lot of neat framing and camerawork that goes into that scene in particular.

19:14 my theory is that the real world is something people would rather forget, and the game was made for infinite entertainment, a kind of "heaven" if you will. The problem being that "heaven" isnt all its cracked up to be and if all you can remember is that this isnt where you where originally, and this isnt your original body, all you'd want is to get out of "heaven"

after kaufmo abstracted, when pomni came she was a a jester which is very similar to a clown. I think that whenever a character abstracts another one replaces them.

The way the Song of Healing loops around 15:00 without moving onto the next part of the song drove me perfectly insane for this kind of crazy show.

I do hope they do escape, even if there is some dark twist to it

My theories: -Jax being a rabbit may be interpreted as him being a "Pest", being in places he shouldn't be and proceeding to ruin them in a way with a level of uncontrollability. This is given by the common perspective of rabbits as invasive species that ruin crops and farms. -Zooble's lack of mouth givens off more of a silently suffering character vibes. One that on the surface, seems apathetic and not at risk to mental break but her physical instability suggests a possibly breakable side to her which reflects as an embodyment. -Pomni is a jester. A key difference between a jester and a clown is; clowns make a fool of themselves while jesters make fools of others. This could depict her as someone who does not take things as seriously, although this only really matches up with her denial that TADC lacks an exit. It could also position her as somone with power above most else and can get away with things that others cant. Because jesters hold the power to insult the king and not be punished. -C&A strongly matches "Cain and Able" which suggests Caine being a manifestation of Cain, perhaps Able doesn't reside within the game like Cain because he (/his sacrifice) was favoured by god more, as seen in the Book of Genesis. I also think they may be a connection between the characters given by their physical characteristics. Zooble and Kinger lack mouths, Gangle and Ragatha have 2D mouths, while Jax and Pomni both have 3D mouths with teeth. Although Pomni's mouth properly forms the pronunciation of words, Jax, Ragatha and Gangle's mouths move simpily to signify strong syllables. All the characters eyes have pupils besides Gangle. Pomni, Caine and Kinger have colourful eyes.Ragatha and Zooble have mis-matched eyes. The characters real counterparts have different audiences/themes. Ragatha, Zooble and perhaps Jax have childrens-toy vibes while Kinger, Gangle, Pomni and Caine have more mature/older/nonchildrens-entertainment vibes.

Zooble is actually based off the Zolo toy, it’s also been confirmed that all the characters are based off a toy from the 90’s

I personally believe that this show was heavily inspired by the show The Hollow. Its like 5 players trapped in a video game world who can’t remember their name or anything. The whole plot is that its a gameshow to see who can last the longest.

The bedroom doors, each with a portrait of a character (and Queenie's one being crossed out) gave me HUGE Danganronpa flashbacks lmao. The office sections after Pomni crosses the exit door is def inspired by the Stanley Parable. And the whole aesthetics of the show remind me of Poppee the Performer. A very creative show that clearly took inspiration from so many great pieces of media!

I love the use of The World Revolving throughout the video. Of course its fitting due to Jevil's circus...y...ness? but also because of the shared theme of freedom. It's not a new correlation by any means, someone already made an excellent World Revolving/ADC theme mashup and Gooseworx is a noted Undertale and Deltarune nerd, but still it tickles my brain to hear it appear in the video.

Probably too late but Dazz, theres a big difference between a clown and a jester (and as someone else mentioned- Pomni could actually be a harlequin instead actually) . Jesters arent the butt of the joke or the ones you laugh at, jesters make fun of OTHERS because their comedy is mocking others. Clowns are the ones that you laugh at because their comedy makes them the butt of the joke. You laugh with a jester, you laugh at a clown! Harlequins were already explained in another comment that i mildly referenced ye- EDIT: no shes not a harlequin, i forgot what a harlequin actually was for a second

If you look at the red carpet on the hallway of rooms, it goes around even further. We may see a bunch of rooms in this one hallway, but there might be even more at turns at the end.

FINALLY somewhere i can ramble on about a theory or two i have!!!! my first and most important theory/hypothesis is how the designs of each character/human connects to their past life, or more specifically how attached they are to it. the most human characters we see, kaufmo, ragatha, and pomni, are each shown to be very connected to their past life and wanting to leave the digital circus. pomni is the most humanoid, pretty much being a simplified human in a jester outfit. she and ragatha, the second most humanoid, are both shown to have anxiety attacks and other common trauma responses when talking about leaving. kaufmo ends up abstracting due to his obsession with leaving. the want to leave can of course be associated with how long a character has been in the digital circus, it's not likely. kaufmo abstracts because of his want to leave, which assumedly takes quite a while. jax is also the youngest, at the age of 22, so it's assumed he's one of the more recent characters to join the digital circus, but he has no interest in leaving. now, we get to the lesser humanoid characters, and the ones who have no interest in leaving. jax is the fourth most humanoid, simply being an anthro animal; then we have zooble, who has notcible arms, legs, a torso, hands and feet, and a face, althoug they are very abstract; then there's gangle, who sort of has an anthropomorphic form, but very very simplified; then there's of course kinger, the least human, who is just a chess piece with floating hands and eyes. while these characters all generally have a disinterest in leaving the digital circus, their personalities, along with the humanoid characters, are key in the vague process of how the brain responds to trauma. first is of course pomni. she represents the initial response(s) to trauma, freaking out and living in partial denial of what she's experiencing. in the scene where jax whips out the key to kaufmo's room, pomni flinches, as if she were about to be hit. this likely is caused by her past life and experiencing physical abuse, but can also show how paranoid you tend to be when you've recently experienced trauma. then there's ragatha, who is very similar to pomni. she's paranoid and anxious, freaking out about her trauma, but she hinds it under a mask of calm. she also shows the trauama repsonse known as fawning, in which she goes out of her way, bending over backwards to appease others to avoid future trauma. next is kaufmo, again similar to pomni and ragatha, but more severe. his anixety and panic is so severe he has a sort of mental break/psychotic episode, causing him to abstract. abstraction is likely a representation of a psychotic episode, where they lash out at their loved ones and hurt the people around them. then there's jax. his connection in the path of trauma response is likely an alternative path stemming from ragatha's spot, rather than leading directly from kaufmo. jax represents how trauam, especially repeated trauma, can cause people to be hateful to those around them. while he does show at least some form of care to others, he is generally dismissive and harsh. he feels that if the world is cruel to him, he will be cruel back, even if those around him haven't hurt him. he doesn't care about what he does because to him it doesn't matter. if no one cared about what happened, then no one should care about what he makes happen. zooble then represents a more intense reaction of jax's. they have a harsh hatred for everyone, not caring for the people aorund them because those peope never cared them (zooble). they feel like everyone around them doesn't care about what they've experienced or that they need help, likely stemming from the lack of support they had in their past life. then we have gangle. gangle represents when the anger of someone in response to trauma finally breaks down, becoming desperate and depressed and wondering what they did to deserve what happened to them. she has a pessimistic view of everything because she's lost hope in the care of others, if one person hurt her, who's to say this other one won't? then finally, we have kinger. kinger's behavior represents the brain's last resort to respond to trauma. the kinger is often seen "zoning out," or more likely dissociating. his brain isn't processing anything that's happening, at least not fully. his brain is stuck in the past, likely partially due to his severe dissociative state, but also because his brain is still trying to process and understand what happened. he likely has lasted as long as he has because his brain refuses to process a lot of what he's experiencing, and what it does process is derealized, or viewed as not being truly real, like a dream or a game (har har). but, what if there's one more? now, i would like to preface this by saying i have _no_ idea if bubble has been confirmed to be ai or not, so if she has then please let me know so i don't continue to make a fool of myself. but anyways, most people assume that bubble is an ai, since she's caine's assistant and noticeably doesn't have a door (from what we've seen of course). but her behavior makes me question that. she doesn't fully act like a companion to caine spending at least half her screen time being a bother to caine. while she does help him, like "cleaning up" pomni's vomit or preparing the digital feast, she notably doesn't seem to be in full control of caine, similar to the humans. so what if she herself was a human? assuming my past hypothesis to be true, her near purely bubble form would mean that she's entirely distant from her past life, having absolutely zero care for it. this would make her almost relieved to be placed into the digital circus, happily engaging in what caine has in store. but then why doesn't she have a room? while it's entirely possible hers is simply not shown, my assumption is that she was one of, if not the, first human to join the digital circus, so it's likely that caine simply didn't have rooms at the time. her energetic engagement with the circus likely encouraged caine to have/allow her to become his assistant, helping him make the digital circus more comfortable for the next humans to arrive. another thing i want to note is that queenie doesn't have the same color kinger does, meaning they would be on opposite teams rather than the same. thanks to the immense power of the queen and the helplessness of the king, it's more likely that queenie was abusive towards kinger, potentially encouraging his dissociation. queenie's anger is likely a trauma response, similar to zooble, but her anger became so severe she abstracted. my personal theory is that they were in a relationship in their past lives, but due to some sort of trauma queenie was/became violent and aggressive towards kinger. this carried over to the digital world in one way or another, their similarity in being chess pieces but being on opposite teams representing their past life relationship.

Okay so THEORY! The "game" gives you three options for the digital circus, PLAY, OPTIONS, and QUIT. What if the *way out* is for someone to press OPTIONS or QUIT?

You know... I with queenie specifically and the whole chess theme she and kinger have, I wouldn't be surprised if she somehow ended up coming back via or through a pawn reaching either a literal or metaphorical other side of a chess board. Heck, who knows, maybe that will be because of pomni and she used to know, hence her extra heightened paranoia, but she cannot place that because no access to her own memories XD

The fact that you haven't seen Helluva boss and point yourself as a critic/reviewer of indy animations is honestly astoundingly scary.

A little detail you probably didnt notice- if you look and pomni left eye its actually upside down if you look at the eyelashes on the bottom of her eye!

The last door looks like it’s blank. You can see something wood colored in the bottom right corner matching the blank characters left arm

they do have a pretty large fanbase for their series murder drones. but its clear that this series blew up massively more than murder drones. murder drones gets seven through ten million views an episode. think part of it ,as there is similar quality in both, is these are meant to be human charcters vs the quiky robots, so it has more of a connection.

I actually didn’t really notice this, but Pomni also has one upturned and one downturned eye. I have no idea if this means anything, but I just find it a really interesting part of her design.

Jax may be a hacker, saying he has keys for everyone's rooms as well as being 4th wall breaking. And maybe he is is cauing the Abstractions without realising it. Or maybe he does know!

I always hear people say that kinger might abstract durring the show, but i think hes actually the least likely to. from what we can see, its seems like insanity causes abstraction. Kinger doesnt really seem to care about leaving, he actually specifically calls out Kaufmo for it, and then Pomni for being insane. he seems entirely okay with being there. sure, hes mentally broken, but overall, i wouldnt say hes insane or mentally unstable. like, dude isnt about to stab someone over a cookie, more like a cat on cat nip and sugar. no idea whats going on but happy and lazy but still doing things. perfectly balanced.

As far as theory-crafting goes, since we have the C & A letters, and one AI named 'Cane' / Caine?, with the A possibly being an 'Able', It is entirely likely, even probable perhaps, that Cane killed Able. They might well have both been AI, might even have been meant to work together while the programming for Able kept Cane in check (HA! chess.) But through some method, Cane was able to get rid of their partner- Whether on purpose or accidentally- which may well have started a snowball effect for the game or virtual world to start going off the rails completely. Able may even have had the keys to enABLE players to EXIT the game/VR world.

To me, Ajax looks like the type to run away from problems and treat them as a joke (lmao, so relatable). It seems like he doesn’t take any of what’s happening serious, as if he’s trying to avoid any negativity. Maybe in real life, he is a very traumatized guy who tries to hide from his fears and problems?

You should definitely check out helluva boss and hazbin hotel if you haven't already But theory-wise I figured pomni is the only one to notice the exits because she's new and hasn't tuned out certain irrelevant info yet/this was clearly a poorly and carelessly thought out beta of a feature that went nowhere so maybe it only bugged into existence because she was newly introduced like buggy code. I mean Cain clearly does not care about emotionally destroying anyone which is what he did with this exit door with kaufmo anyway (Came back to a deleted comment to edit is weird idk why suggesting to check out another good series would be against guidelines I'd love to know)

I am unsure about many things, as this show is a beautiful mystery. The only thing I can say with relative certainty is that the Eyes may represent the general public, watching you. This is a concept I’ve learned in Danganronpa, where everyone’s looking at you because of the entertainment it brings, because their world’s so peaceful, yet they want some kinda joy. Although Danganronpa doesn’t have a REAL explanation, this is one of the most accepted theories, as there are rather concrete proofs of this. But in the end, it’s the show that’s gonna tell us.
