Yes Knox 100% do the solo songs for each film, it helps with the Bu. You’d be missing key parts without them but also the solos are personal to each member so it’s good to do in general to get to know them. Thank you so much! I’ve really missed your BTS and BU journey man 💜

All of the symbols together create the wings album cover. If you look up the cover, you’ll see the symbols and how the short films are creating that album. All of the titles of their short films are the names of each member’s solo song in the wings album (First Love is Suga’s song, Lie is Jimin’s song, etc.). In each short film, you hear a small snippet of their solo songs. (For example, the piano and strings you mentioned in Suga’s is actually the song, amazing song that makes me emotional every time I listen to it) I would love if you listened to their solo songs after because they sort of relate to the BU while also their own personal experiences (as many songs are). The writings in Korean are actually lyrics from their solo songs. Plus, you’d be able to see the personality of each member, instead of just the rappers. (So far, you’ve only done solo songs from Suga and RM) You were on point about a lot of things actually. The whistling from Jungkook saved Suga, but the piano was lit on fire as a consequence. Jimin reached out to Jhope, who wasn’t there. The girl who V hugged is actually his sister, who was also being abused by their father. At the end, V told the cop “I want to make a phone call.” Remember that, it’s important in a later short film for another member. Knox, it’s important to know the pairings of each member. Each member except for Jin is paired with another member. I will list the pairings below if you want to know, if not then have a good day! Pairings: Jungkook - Suga RM - V Jimin - Jhope Jin

There are videos out there that are subtitled if you want to search for them. It helps to understand a bit of what’s going on. But you’ve done a great job interpreting the meanings. These videos were actually used as trailers for the Wings album since it was the first album that each member had a solo song on. The music in the background of each video is the solo tracks. I HIGHLY recommend you react to all the songs. You won’t be disappointed. And it also slightly ties in to the BU story too. Loved the reaction!! Can’t wait for more!

Oh one more haha. So NF’s ‘Perception’ album was 2017 so this was actually before I guess. Loved loved loved your thoughts here! You’re so on point with the symbolism it’s scary haha. I will just say, without spoiling, that each member has a detailed backstory so a lot of the symbolism you’re seeing is quite real to their tragic story, if that makes sense. And yes, pairs are really important! J-Hope and Jimin in the hospital etc. I really recommend the solo songs Knox, the lyrics will change a lot for you!

22:10 this can be connected/traced to the fact that it was Jungkook that got hit by the car and not Suga. And the first video Begin with the whistle was Jungkook's video. And it was Suga's piano that started to burn in Jungkook's video. It was Suga's photo that was dripping with paint in the first short film and it began to burn too! And in the 'I Need You' music video it was Suga that has the lighter and he lit his room on fire with him inside. This is all connected and I love the BU so much because of the attention to detail and metaphors weaved throughout the whole story.

040322. No one seems to say much about the forest scene painting in Jimin's BU short film, that also is on the wall in the FAKE LOVE mv. Isn't a woodsy location where JM's tragic story began? (BTW, I find his insights very clever and interesting, but it's been about a week since this reaction was posted, and I didn't see any sign that he reads the comments, despite saying "Comment below" in his top, pinned comment. No hearts, no replies, and even though a couple of people have mentioned previously recommending the subbed versions of these BU videos, he didn't find those.)

Honestly I have so many of my own theories and even though I sort of know the story I still learn more from rewatching or going through it with someone like you. Man, you are so perceptive and talented at this shit! So V asks to make a phone call and if you remember at the beginning of the Run mv he calls someone after he st*bs his dad. The girl with him was his sister, his lyrics were 'I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry my sister'. The solo song lyrics have much more clues. So Jimin's song is called Lie, he's caught in a lie which relates to his character story but also is personal to him. I really think you should do the solo songs after these short films? Hope you'll take the suggestion on board anyway and thanks as ever Knox. Hoping for more!

The other story the BU is heavily influenced is the short story ‘ The ones who walk away from Omelas’ which is about a utopian society where everyone is happy and prosperous because there is a child in a room suffering for the sake of everyone else. And if anyone shows that child a shred of kindness the utopia will crumble. JK is the child. In one of the MVs he’s hit by a car and in his short story he wakes up from the crash (which you hear) in the room. And keeps seeing Suga’s piano on fire. Suga and JK were linked in the first MV so in Suga’s short he’s missing JK. He hears his whistle and follows it down the road which represents the car accident. The car hits the music shop thus JK saving Suga.

Yes bro! So many people slept on this era, it’s such a spiders web and Wings is an absolute masterpiece of an album. Look up the cover art too and the symbols will make more sense. You’ll definitely want to do the solo songs after (more views with the actual songs too), not only are the lyrics perfect for your analytic brain but it will help you a little with the BU too, as well as getting to know each member a bit. First Love is truly a beautiful, raw, vulnerable, and emotional song of SUGA's He wrote this and was part of the production. It's a song about how MUSIC saved his life. I love all their albums, but WINGS is my favorite.

I’ve watched like 3 times and I’m in awe with some stuff you picked up that I NEVER DID! Omg I’ve been ARMY for years haha! When you said at the end ‘I don’t want to hear anyone say they are just a Kpop group’ I clapped! Like thank you, for real - they are so deep and their success is organic, it wasn’t bought or manipulated. Obviously Jungkook and Suga are connected in the bu but it always feels more than the other’s connections (v and namjoon, jhope and Jimin for example) Like First Love is a song about Yoongi’s love for piano; music/the piano was his first love. Jungkook gets hit by a car and in Suga’s short film the car hits the piano. Then the piano sets on fire; Yoongi commits suicide by fire (like his mother). It’s just so romantic There’s so much more I could talk about too 😩🤚

Thank you for these reactions! I really enjoy how you go into depth about them. Oh I also would recommend though before you continue with #5 #6 & #7 that you re-watch these ones but there’s ones with subs on them somewhere on RU-vid, personally I believe they are something needed to watch before continuing on (especially for V’s). You can do it in ur own time if you like but yeah thought I’d just let you know!

Damn that was so good Knox!! I think I saw another comment with translations for you, but there are subbed vids out there. I can send on Patreon? So V asks to make a phone call (hence the phone box) and the interrogator asked him if he has parents - he says something like ‘I don’t have anything like that’. The phone box is important. And yeah each solo song would definitely be worth doing after you’ve finished the films! Lyrics are personal as well as for the BU so you’d get to know each member a little too. Suga’s ‘First Love’ is amazing and so emotional!

OH i remember when these came out... i went through them literally frame by frame to catch everything and i still couldn't bc some things are only there for half a frame... love them. truly a gigantic mark in bts' history.

Irl Suga had a car accident and BH helped him financially, after he was able to tell the truth, to get his college tuition. For a long time his shoulder has been playing up bc of the accident. He operated it about a year ago. Thank you for making the connections to this piece. I love your analysis

I’m about to throw hands with yt! I never get notis anymore 😂😫 Looks like many others didn’t either…ah such a shame when the algo is a pain in the ass! Sorry Knox, I’m sure more will find this though, it was brilliant!! As ever, an on point and intelligent analysis 🙌 V asked to make a phone call I believe. Wow I'm so excited for you to react to the BU! I really missed that, your brain is actually so impressive lol, so incredible how much you caught just on the first watch! You even understood that the Jungkook's whistling saved Suga!! But I do recommend you watch the ones with Subs, because what V said in his short film is actually really important! So in order to understand everything you might wanna go back to that with subs :)

Ahhh this is AMAZING! Not many catch that the whistling basically saves Suga or get so much from the symbols and connections. WOW! I need every army to see this lol! The translations do help a bit if you wanted to use them for next ones, the pl is in my Patreon dms💜. You would definitely find the solo tracks helpful afterwards, I don't want to spoil so just as one example of how they give clues - Jungkook's song 'Begin' is about how he looks up to his 'brothers' because they raised and shaped him into who he is today, so it's personal to him as he joined BTS at 14/15, but that mentality of 'he'd do anything for his brothers' is also a clue to his BU character arc, and then his actions make more sense (like when he was fighting Suga in 'Run'). Same with the rest of them, it'll sort of add sense to all the symbolism if that makes sense haha. As a side note about the solo songs. Suga's 'First Love' is an emotional masterpiece - I think you'd really love that! V's is actually a jazz/soul track because that's more his personal taste in music. Sorry about the algo too Knox, I hope it won't deter you from BTS, numbers are always there with them but clearly yt is doing it's thing again!

Wish I could post gifs. I’d post that one with the jaw on the floor 😂 I loved every second! You’re so articulate and clever, I’m truly jealous 😂, but in an admiring respectful way haha. I want to say so much but it’ll probably spoil things so all I’ll say is yes, amazing job with the symbolism! Just try to remember it’s more real than not, focus on the pairs and the sequence of events! Also the solo ‘titles’ relate to the characters as do their lyrics ☺️ Jin’s short film should change everything 🙌👏

I came back to watch and whaaaat! Did the algo not hit with this?? Those numbers are so low even for other BTS reactors who don't have much of an army presence. I'm so sorry! your breakdowns are so incredible and I know army would be over the moon to see this. I hope this doesn't make you want to stop their regular reactions because they are so so so amazing. I've no idea why this hasn't reached...I didn't get a notification which happens now and again, I wonder if that's part of it...
