That's because well according to the trash taste boys, in Japan interviews are highly scripted to avoid the interviewer being disrespectful and being an ass,. If Suisei was supposed to show up the script got rewritten to fit the questions the interviewer is supposed to ask

And it seems accurate. If Suisei just call for her Anemachi, I really feel like she'll just fade in existence to answer the call.

@@rudolfaerofare2683 I mean it would NEED to be financial reasons. It can be something as mundane as being black listed by banks for any given reason. The cost of rent increasing where having a "streamer apartment" is next to impossible in JP without paying up the butt. As well as equipment costing extra due to how lots of it are imports. People have it in their heads that streamers earn alot. And yeah they do. But remember all that supercha t revenue. youtube eats 30% and then the agency eats 30-50% of the remainder and then the taxman takes a bite. And with what you got goes towards your internet bill, your electric which would be unusually high compared to other households due to your job. Then you add in the immense cost of project budget.

@@ceresbane Superchats are very likely by far their lowest revenue stream. Merch sales and sponsorships make up a much much larger chunk. From everything we've heard from Suisei regarding the matter, I highly doubt that money is an issue. Miko for example has sold over $700K worth of merch in 3 days, compare that to Coco who had a lifetime Superchat revenue of 3 million...and Coco was the most superchatted person on the entire platform. Hoshiyomi's are also a different breed when it comes to buying Sui merch, they buy that shit religiously. If you ever look at sales numbers, then Suisei's merch is usually the most sold and if you look at the cost of her items being resold it is almost always 2-3x higher than the next person. I will regularly see signed Suisei cards selling for $3K...it's ridiculous.

@@Shivalry1018 ok but how much is that cut towards the talent. I know vshojo lets the talent have subs and superchat with no cut from the company. But hololive and nijisanji are pretty much following the eastern talent agency model where the talent especially unestablished ones get the short end of this kinda deal. Someone is indeed making money but not neccesarily the talent in terms of the numbers ur spouting. Especially wen projects get funded out of pocket for the most part while the company pays a limited set budget annually.

​@@ceresbane No they've talked about it, most of the profits from merch go directly to the talents since they are the ones who pay for it. Hololive just helps them with logistics and contacts the manufacturers. Suisei when asked about her housing situation was completely unfazed and didn't flinch at possibly paying an entire months rent in a Tokyo hotel, while also paying to renovate her parents entire house. KoroAzu has also indirectly hinted at how well off Suisei is. I would be extremely surprised if money was an issue for her. Especially considering how much marketing value she has and the fact that she averages close to 20K viewers, not to mention sponsorships and album sales. Vshojo letting the talents have subs and donations is great, but that really only makes a difference to smaller streamers who can't sell as much merch or don't get sponsorships. I think the benefit of Hololive besides the obvious massive audience they have now is how many and how large their sponsored and collaboration streams are. They're regularly doing stuff with Marvel, DC, Sega, Square Enix, Redbull and a ton of others. Even if the talents only get a piece of that pie, that is a really big pie. Other members like Watame, Kanata and Marine have done MVs that cost around $50K. Odds are that anyone who can spend $50K on a youtube video that isn't going to make them money is pretty financially stable. End of the day nobody knows how much they're actually making, just like we don't know what the vshojo and niji people are making either, but while I don't think they're absolutely loaded out the ass with money, I also highly, highly doubt that they're only making a low 6 figure salary. The numbers just don't add up.

Tadokoro Azusa, a Japanese voice actress. Normally, her and Suisei host this radio show every Sunday but sometimes they invite other guests along in place of Suisei, usually because Suisei can't attend the radio because of work. They've had Fubuki, Nene, and Miko so far
