Yes. People are only human, stuff happens. I forgave my first husband, but sadly he did not repent and did it again, and again. My second husband, of almost 34 years, is my rock and I know he would never do that because it was done to him, and he knows how it feels. I'm glad AJ and his wife worked it out.

It’s very hard to say what you might do until you come face to face with it. I was married 52 years before my husband passed away. I never cheated and to my knowledge he never cheated. I was 17 and he was 18 when we married and there was no baby till 3 years later. I loved him so muchI probably would have given him a second chance had it been necessary. I have always felt God blessed us in a very special way and that I still have something here to finish before God reunites us. My heart aches for him and the loneliness is almost unbearable. I look forward to the day I see him again.

This is a great human story. Alan is human his wife is human. I can assure you that their faith had a lot to do with this. This is a life journey that ended on a high note for them. Alan hopefully will embrace his 2nd chance she is a very special woman. My advice to Alan is do not screw this up cherish his 2nd chance. His music and children are beautiful.

I am just pleased they got their life back together and that Denise got the all clear from cancer.... Focus not on the negative but on the positives.... But I wish I had been born in a Christian Family like yours. That is so special. My father was legalistic and we missed the simple Christian family life that you and your wife came from My mom Came out of a rich family with a father who did not like children and was travelling with the Upstairs maid instead of his Wife.and my dads family was very poor.And he was send to foster homes.paid by the church. Those two got married and I was the oldest. child. This was in Holland. I got married at 23 and sadly to say my husbands parents Told him that he was not there child which was untrue. We ended up fighting and he was beating me up. He died young and my 3 girls are okay. married .etc.Please take care of your precious family and now that you have time spend it with your wife.life is so short. and pray.Thanks for your patience.

Alan is a great family man.. I have been hooked on his music since "Daddy won the radio".I have attended 23 concerts and would love to do 23 again! Love this man, his family, his music, his charm, his humbleness etc, We are not the Judge or Jury and our opinions should be kept to yourself. His success is overwhelming and says it all!!!!

My son lived very close to Alan when he lived in middle Tn. Silver point Tn. I bet you know where that is Chad.. John Anderson also lives up there. Before Alan sold his house and moved to Florida. He and John Anderson use to go to a restaurant in silver point. The Rose Garden. They could go there and eat in peace. No one bothered them

He is supposed to come out with a new album in 2019 but never came out. Supposed to see him at Ford Field Detroit Michigan in August 2020 concert. If the governor Michigan lets us out of our house.

You find out just how much you can forgive and overcome when something like cancer comes calling. You realize just how precious love and life are, and pettiness and grudges are thieves that only steal precious moments. Ppl mistakenly entertain and create too much drama over insignificant things in life, and those that have had to endure untimely tragedies learn we as humans are guilty at one time or another of taking ppl or the things we have for granted. You realize just what a terrible waste of time it was to be jealous or concentrating over things that don’t really matter. When death steals your love away, you’d give anything to have them back. When we’re healthy we take our good health for granted along with our blessings. God has been so good to us, shielding us in so many ways that things we’ve grown accustomed to, we feel we’re entitled, or owed, when we aren’t. Our lives can change in a split second. Learn from your mistakes, forgive, and make the most of each day, cherishing your loved ones and blessings. I’m so glad they overcame it all.

I know Alan from our early days playing the Opry, I was hired as part of the Ambassador to the Opry, Porter Wagoner's live at the Grand Ole Opry show that was filmed live every Sat. night, But when Porter and I first heard the voice of Alan's we were in a Limo on our way from the airport to Ft. Lauderdale for the Fl. state fair. Where we were performing as part of the largest assembly of the Grand Ole Opry member's to play at 1 show, but while he and I were in the limo we heard something coming out of those speaker's that to borrow a friend's line, but it was solid country gold! Porter asked the driver to turn up the speakers, we both looked at each other as we were blown away by that voice and the fact that he was not a what we all called bubblegum singer's who all sounded so much alike and were getting farther and farther away from true country music we so loved. As they announced the name of the person who had us spellbound the name "Alan Jackson", I quickly wrote it down and gave it to Porter and he put it in his wallet, as soon as we arrived back in Nashville Porter had a call to make! We were betting it all that this young man was there to be HUGE, and after a couple of call's to get his personal phone number Porter invited him to join our show both Friday and the Live Saturday. He was elated at the thought and responded as saying, "Man that would be my biggest dream come true, then said that he worked at the mail room of the country T.V. station at the time called TNN. but he said " I will ask if I can leave a little bit early due to this is my biggest dream, I certainly thank you Mr. Wagoner, I have been a huge fan of yours since I was just a kid watching "The Porter Wagoner Show" pretending I was you in your fancy Nudie suits. Why, If I didn't recognize your voice anywhere I'd think this was a prank call But Sir, I know this voice too well for it to be a prank"! Porter assured him that he'd call the mail room for him and take care of him getting off with no problem, they said their goodbye's until Friday. He showed up and I know I was pleasantly surprised as he was taller than Porter who was almost 6'3, with a beige dress leather jacket, blue jean's, boot's and that beautiful white hat. he was shy but full of nerves he said to Porter and when he spoke to me he'd stare down at the floor looking up only a few times with that smile we all know so well now! After we did 1 song Porter gave him a 5 star intro. saying you wait till you hear this guy to all the crowd awaiting there, he told of how we heard him and of just what it meant to him and I to hear real country again! As he then entered from stage left and begin to sing ( and you have to remember this is there 1st time hearing this talented singer/song writer/entertainer!) he got a standing ovation as he was finishing his 1st line, something that I'd never seen before and never saw after, as pretty as he still is, yet he's still that humble guy who looked down while talking to a woman, the total package! So, the next night we would be going live with him for million's of viewer's to see and hear.. He was off and running after that, yet still to this day he is still the same country gentleman that he always has been. We love ya Alan!
Gina James great story. I quickly met Alan at a concert in Oklahoma a year or 2 ago and he seemed very nice. He's my favorite singer for sure and I like a lot of singers.

I'm still young, 26 years old, but before my wife and I got married we faced some very tough times and almost didn't make it. But we worked out our differences, and it made the bond that we have practically bulletproof! Are we have been living up to the vows: "for richer or for poor, in sickness and in health". The pastor told us both, "it's not about knowing when to fight, but how to fight." In other words if you think you might be about to argue with each other, you need to keep yourselves from letting yourself loose control. I wish them the best. I divorced my husband over his affairs. If a couple can work it out it's great. The deep love has to be on both sides. It was on my side. I'd rather live alone than to live with someone I can't trust.
Denise explains in her book. She remembered she had been checking out cute guys herself. She tells how she forgave him..because she realized he was the only man she could ever love. It was just a matter of commitment on both their parts. My husband and I got a divorce. It was for the best. Everybody has their own story.
A marriage is like a job. Always working on keeping your wife happy. I don't think any marriage is perfect. But, if you love someone as much as i love my wife. I will do what it takes to make her my everything for life. 21 years later, we are still together. And I hope and pray to grow old with her.
Love all of his songs my dad did also and is now gone .he passed in nov.30,2001 five days after i came home from having the last Thanksgiving dinner of that yr.he had cancer.

Denise's cancer was caused by her feelings at the time. But true people often make mistakes, and if God can forgive us, then we should be able to forgive our brother. I did forgive, over and over again. Alcohol took control over a seventeen-year period of time and our four children growing up. Finally divorced him, remarried him again after several years apart. He was ill and taking care of him for 20years was hard. He died in my arms of congested heart failure and a cancerous tumor on the brain. However, the word of God and forgiveness was the only medicine that brought me back to health after his death.

I had to forgive my husband for an affair but when he continued after 24 years old more affairs I ended up leaving. Our three boys had left the home and I finished raising our daughter. It hurt me to the core. I would of stayed if he hadn't of brought home a ven disease. God bless them
If you really love him you'll forgive him .once .if he cheats after that no matter how much you love him it's time to walk away .men don't get it .they destroy a women when they have sex with other women I know my husband cheated on me 8 years into our marriage .I was totally devastated .my heart was broken in so many places but I forgave him how cause my love for him just didn't die .something went wrong in our marriage we stopped communicating and that's the start of a bad thing .I've been married 28 years come Dec and there's not a day goes by that my husband doesn't show his love and regret for hurting me .yes he broke my heart but he picked up the piece and bit by bit he mended it .I love him more today than the day I married him so yes you can forgive if you truly love .

No matter what, you don't commit adultery. You go to your partner and talk it out, or get a legal separation. Its the right thing to do. I read the book that Denise wrote. She just didn't take part of the blame, IMO, she took it all. Funny how when people get caught doing the dirty and their fame and fortune is on the line, they find God. Its like people in prison who find God, thinking everyone will overlook what they have done in the past, I'm a changed man ploy to use at parole hearings. If they have found a way to make it work, good for them. I sincerely mean that. That is totally their life, their business, not mine. However, you asked the question. They chose to live that lifestyle. All the multi million dollar estates and boats and cars. That takes you out on the road most of the time to make the money. He should have used his head for something other than a hat rack. It isn't the first time he played. It had been going on for years and would still be going on if it weren't for one teeny tiny thing...he got caught. Where was God when he was bedding someone other than his wife? Denise did nothing wrong. Someone had to stay home with the girls so they could have a normal life, and she chose to raise her own girls rather than pass them around like a box of Crackerjacks. My problem is when she copped out by writing that book. Look at George and Norma Strait. They lived the faith. Lord knows, THAT man had many temptations in his path.
