Great comparison. I recieved my 2018 Dayruck a couple weeks ago it's a great pack. I did make one mod, I sewed the bottom of the axe sleeve closed now it holds my laplander saw perfectly. I never carry an axe anyway. Keep up the good work and drive on.
I just met up with Malcolm at the New England Bushcraft Expo this past weekend. He's a great guy. Talked with him for almost an hour, he lives in the same town here in MA that my mom and most all of my family are from. I picked up a day ruck, the possibles pouch, and the "survival kit" pouch. Top notch gear. I can't wait to get it out in the bush to put it though it's paces. Heads up, he's working on a framed pack as we speak.
I just ordered a day ruck and haversack. I’ve watched this video about 5 times while waiting for it to arrive. Maybe some day it will show up 🇨🇦, or not (Canada Post has lost my stuff before). This video is the best show and tell out there and I like the comparison to the older model. 👍
Great video ! A Day Pack with "The Ten Essentials" by the Seattle Mountaineers will keep you safe overnight and bring you home the next day. A Day Pack is needed for any and all short Day Hikes ! A French Couple went for a short Day Hike at White Sands National Monument (WSNM) in Central New Mexico and only the baby infant survived ! A plastic toboggan is great for going down the dunes ! The orange color is nice for the inside of the pack to see everything... I have a Black Pack and need the Streamlight Stylus Pro to see anything inside my pack ! Thank you for the video ! tjl
Excellent review, thank you, you did a very good job of showing how the ruck sack has evolved over the years. Your reviews are always good, to the point and not biased. Again, thank you.
you just sold me on the pack, there page really doesn't show in detail all of the pack. In one of my earlier posts to one of your videos i mentioned i was searching for a lighter day pack . The DC Trailblazer by Jon Pack, you did a review on is out of stock and i like the inside of this pack better . Thx fort your awesome videos
I knew I shouldn't have watched this video... now I want one. Actually, I think I need one. Great overview, I especially appreciated the detailed look at the inside and dropping a couple common items in for size reference. Much appreciated.
@@AubreyGreenJr Not just for teens, but for people of all ages, I would buy and not even bother with the present day Boy Scout Handbook. The Boy Scout Handbook of the early 20th Century, yes, the Corporal Kelly's hand book, yes also.
I have to tell you after watching this video I Broke my Piggy Bank and ordered one of these Day Rucks and it Really is is a Quality product with the features i have been looking for. Thanks so much for your Informative Videos.
This pack looks very nice. But what I would like is some Molle on the shoulderstraps so I cab attach pouches to the front that I can open while hiking without having to stop and take off the pack.
I'm impressed as usual with what you've shown, so I'll check it out. It will be interesting to see if it's improved in the last three years as much as the previous three.
Rad Rat...they already have a book for you teens....it’s called the UCMJ..........you can learn about it when/if you raise your right hand a swear to uphold the Constitution of these United States by serving in one of the Armed Forces like the Corporal did.."
Got my Hidden Woodsmen 2018 DayRuck and it’s just awesome! His stitching and the materials are bombproof! His new PVC logo is awesome! I ended up with a Black & Coyote DayRuck and Haversack and I couldn’t be happier! Thanks for this video! Malcom just put out a 35LT on his Instagram & Facebook and I think he’s gonna auction it off. It’s sweet!!
As an ardent fan of the "AXE", seems if there be an "old lady" style, the 2015 may be better. Wasn't easy to trot 2 miles, in 17 minutes or some trail tests, 15 minutes, carrying 35lbs (45 or more for men) . Know your limitations.
