I've had to come back to this topic as I cannot let it go. In the accusation of such an emergency due to lack of diversity, did this individual actually care to check the statistics on the ratio of ethnic minority applicants to those who qualified to enter? Among those minorities who applied, did they meet the qualification criteria? Or did this individual just shoot her mouth off for the simple reason that she was the only non white? If there were a 100 seats and 99 of the candidates who qualified are white, are we to drop 20 of them and replace them with the first non white ethnicity that walks through the door for the sake of "diversity"? The UK is definitely on a slippery slope and until this "woke" idiocy stops, I don't see it getting back to where it was.

You’re in the US not in the UK. You don’t understand the ‘guarded industries’ we have here where diversity and inclusion (not by way of policy but why way of seamlessly integrating without odd stares, ignorants remarks, etc) is still an issue - such as architecture mentioned in this video. Many Muslim women in ‘guarded industries’ DO NOT openly present as Muslims - no Hijabs, no comments or conversations about religion, and in many cases using informal Christian names to better “fit in”. You yourself would not feel super comfortable walking into many British professional offices looking the way you look (which is beautiful btw - I love hijab when it’s worn voluntarily despite being non-muslim) despite there likely being numerous Muslim women in the same office. It’s a matter of the level of perceived tolerance and understanding in the environment or industry. “Oh, I didn’t realise you were Muslim, Aysha” 🤷‍♂️ Not an uncommon occurrence given the level to which many are going to not bring attention to it. It’s females like the ones in this story that help to open up the doors for others like them - as has been happening for years in multiple industries such as Education, Law, Journalism, Real Estate, IT, Game Design, Auto Engineering, etc, etc.

I remember that process. I was usually last to be picked. Quite rightly. Children have natural instincts.
