I am a high maintenance person too. I don't like to miss out on all my toiletries when going away. You have given me many great ideas. I bought the airless containers for when I go on sewing retreats for the weekend. No need to lug the whole bathroom with you. I still swear by samples that I get when ordering from the drugstore. Regarding the toiletry bag in Europe. It's hit and miss...this recent trip I just came home from Portugal and Spain, I had no issues. My bag (similar to yours) was not a problem. But I did have a problem a previous time coming home from Ireland. Traveling carry-on only had pros and cons. Generally I did not like carry-on only and ended up buying another suitcase so that I could bring home purchases. Also, given that I was on a tour, I didn't have time to do laundry at all, so lack of fresh clothes was an issue.

I think it depends on the airport in Europe. When we went to Italy, I had one of those types of travel bags from Amazon and it worked in Amsterdam and Italy but when we recently went to Ireland this year I had read several times online that Dublin airport and London are extremely picky, so I just used a quart size and I really missed my other bag ☹️

Interesting, love it since I only carry on! I’ve been trying to make travel sized shampoos etc work and eliminating what I “can” since the bottles won’t fit. But who says you can’t have it all?l Your bags at the end made me wonder: thoughts on TUMI travel bags?
