The Eiger Nordwand was the last conquerred mountain in Europe. Dozens of the most famous alpinists have lost their lives in the attempt to climb this horrible mountain. And now we see the tremendous jump of Patrick Kerber from this icon of the Swiss alps. My respect and congratulations.

An amazing exit and amazing line. But I'm curious: jumper opened his canopy with a lot of elevation left above the valley. Why not extend the flight farther into the valley? Is there an exhaustion factor with wing-suit flying? I don't know, so I'm asking to learn something.

Wow amazing. Where you opened your parachute - on the right is the path that leads to a small mountain restaurant. Again another beautiful walk. I wish I had the courage to do a jump from a mountain like you.

@@felixlau6761 I looked it up in an English Newspaper. He actually died jumping off a mountain I've hiked up - but why jump in the fog? Looking at similar videos on here it is incredibly dangerous I will stick to hiking - nothing beats the satisfaction of getting to the top by foot.

@@ewaf88 oh crazy. yeah, enjoy this activity and dont try to be ikarus! Next week I am going into the swiss mountains for the first time. I am coming from the sea so this is totally new to me. I will sleep in 2400 meter height. I really like the idea of paragliding by the way. But next week I could maybe climb onto the 3000 meter peak of a nearby mountain. i wonder if this works cause of the climatic adaptation :D

Actually the Nordwand was one of the last conquerred walls in Europe. The Eiger itself was climbed decades before on other routes. The amazing jump is from the Südwand/South wall. Doesn't make it any less stunning ...

Ok .I have been there but my favorite country is Norway.Trollwall and Kjerag. Vertical 1000 meters and that is vertical! This is not vertical. Ok almost 3000 meters to the valley . Trollwall nearly 2000 meters.
