i normally dont comment on videos but I am LOVING these van life west coast vlogs. i have never considered travelling the west coast of az as well as the east but thanks to these vlogs it is 100% on my travel bucket list!! thanks of sharing your experience
I love seeing my state through other peoples eyes 🥰 in WA, during summer everyone heads south and in winter everyone heads north! we chase the warm weather
Hey absolutely loving these vlogs as someone planning their van trip currently. Please could you confirm the company/ trip name of the quad bikes at lancelin please 🙏🏻 ❤
I've spent my whole life wiping the inside of the windscreen with a tshirt when this happens in Australia. That's just what you do when you have an old van driving in all conditions. It might be a pain in the arse but such is life
From what I've heard, in Australia, the west coast has generally wetter winters and dryer summers, and on the east coast its the opposite, dryer winters and wetter summers..
No, the east coast is wetter all year round. When it rains in the west it tends to be hard but short. Its almost always humid on the east coast. There are cyclones on the north of the east and west coasts. On the west coast the north is summery in "winter" and wet in "summer" - we just call it "the wet" and "the dry". So you have to kind of think about that unless you want to get flooded in. Also, the trade wind blows from september to february all along the pilbara coast from Geraldton to Carnarvon and thats a ferocious 24/7 wind which makes being on a beach open to the west a painful experience. The dutch used to use that to get to indonesia (dutch east indies) which is why there are so many dutch ship wrecks and place names along the coast. The weather. Basically, the west coast weather is complicated. If youre not a west australian (or a "sandgroper", in local language) you should check out the weather patterns thoroughly before travelling. Quite a lot of tourists find themselves marooned on very low "high ground" with a lot of cows as a result of sudden flooding.
Loved this vlog!! I see that the general consensus was for Tom to do more intros😂 love that 😂 That lake puts the “pink lake” to shame by the looks of it 😂 so stunning 😍😍 OMG I forget that the weather is essentially flipped in Australia at this time of year so I was so confused when you said the weather was gonna get better as you go further north! I was like huhh? How does that make sense? Because as Brits we associate the north with cold 😂 Literally wild!
