It's crazy how Chris Smoove was able to nearly abandoned 2k and not only make very profitable videos on just NBA recap commentaries alone but make it some of his most watched videos and still manage to keep his name on top of the now numerous about of basketball RU-vidrs. That even if he'd only post a 2k vid 2 times a month, he still create attention whenever he speaks on 2k due to his influence and gravity. Don't come to the conclusion that Smoove's successful longevity is that he was an original 2k youtuber, because many of the OGs have come and gone or faded into stagnant growth. He's an incredible content creator and honestly doesn't get enough respect outside of RU-vid's basketball community.
@@eviltwin4760 if it were that easy, there would be hundreds of people talking over highlights. His partnership with the NBA, that allows him access to those clips to make videos, isn't easy to get.
James Burgess I watch my team games but other than that I watch smoove nba highlight videos to keep up with rest of league instead of watching sport scenter the dude on espn so annoying
First game commentary channels were cod channels. Guys like Blame Truth and Xcalizorz were the first on call of duty 4. Smoove was a couple years later.

It's funny how those big name rarely mention about average guys like Dom or Bsolz, it's just weird. Maybe it's because the videos that Mike made was basically on his own, not using other guys idea or footage. At this point, some of the only youtubers he mention were Nick (Smith), LOW, Troydan and LNU (as I remember), and three of which he had a video or two with.
That was highly amusing. Even back when he was a college student, Smoove is just too slick and too intelligent to involve himself in something like that. I don't blame him at all. He had too much to lose and nowhere near enough to gain by even acknowledging his challenge. You want to report on a beef, cover the (I think, I'm old and my memory's a bit fuzzy) Cashnasty/Smoove beef. IIRC, they did not like each other, to the point that Shady0018 made a little snippet in a video of their MyPlayers staring each other down. I might be wrong but I think it was him.
This "beef" is actually what I was thinking about when I read the title. I just happened to stumble upon one of MrPurple's Chris Smoove videos a long time ago. I remember him calling Smoove a coward.

Man, I never really knew about that... Since Smoove never talked about it, eventually everyone will either forget or never hear about it in the first place.
Hey Dom I just want to give you a heads up. A channel I watch called The Lost History Channel was demonetized a few days ago over "copyrighted" materials found in multiple videos and some of his comments speculated that it was his Marvel intro like this one. Idk if that is really why because his was altered the way yours is, but just in case I don't want that to happen to you fam.
I'd like to see these two and 14 other top NBA RU-vidrs (you, Korzemba, Jay Canada, Andy Hoops, CaineLovesCali, Austin Sweatt, NBA Storyteller, Legend of Winning, JimmerRange, Troydan, MDJ, Jesser....(fill in the last two, I can't think of anyone else)) in an NBA 2K20 RU-vid All-Stars Tournament Extravaganza. The prize package for the winner would be $50,000 and a chance to take on Ronnie2K in 2K20. If the tournament champion can defeat Ronnie2K in 2K20, then they double their winnings AND get to be part of the 2K business going forward.
