Love this song. Reminds me of my dad who passed away 7yrs ago. Miss him so much RIP. He lived and grew up there; St Mary's rd, then moved to Coventry in the 70s mother is also from there too!
Hey I’m in New Zealand too. One of my Great Grandmothers was from Killenaule, so thought I would look it up on RU-vid, & found this delightful video. 😊
There's a shop in Killenaule with my family's name still over the door, though we've been in the US for four generations now. Unfortunately, that means that actual Irish people living in Ireland hate me since I'm a murican who cares about his Irish roots lol
@@michaelhurley7001 The reaction of Irish people I've met. I live in a tourist town, Las Vegas. You learn pretty quick not to talk about your Irish family roots with Irish people, they get furious.
JFK said it best when he addressed the Irish parliament in the early 60s. He said: “gentlemen, I am not an Irish man, I am an American of Irish descent“. Most Irish people I know are proud of those who claim Irish heritage but frankly they do resent those and say “I’m Irish” when clearly they are not.
