I had the “good fortune” to witness this act from behind a glass wall as the hippo enclosure allowed you to watch them under water. The sound of disgust in the room of that stubby tail distributing all that, umm, matter into the water was only equaled by the disgust of of everyone upon realizing why the fish had suddenly gathered in such dense concentration.
this animal just a terrorist in the nature. its devastating all habitat. if they find good place to multiply it will be devastating for that ecosystem
It’s quite the opposite, they keep many Lake and river ecosystems healthy and they form the ground where rain water collects after a drought determining the route of the water
First time at the zoo in Oakland a hippo pooped near the railing and it splashed onto a little girls face. Same day saw tortoises getting it on for the first time in my life. did not expect the loud grunting and moaning.
Lmfao they turn their peckers around and use them as a bidet while their tails fling everything everywhere. It’s like those sprinklers that spit and shoot 180 degrees then go back and do it again 😂
Many many years ago when i went to the zoo as a child, I saw a group of hippos walking out of a like in line. The one at front decided to go and i assume their mate was right behind... I think I decided I knew as much as i would need to know about hippos from them on.
I mean…Hippos are far from the worst by our standards, hell even dogs eat their own shit, plus Hippos are very important to the eco system their in, the paths of flattened grass and mud determine where the water will flow when the dry season ends
Nope that they are not. Kind of the fling it around for everyone to experience, quite a site to see if I am to be honest. Just don’t be standing behind them or beside, and not close to the front either. lol. Luckily I was far to the front.
I blame myself for clicking...Curiosity can be very damaging! There is a reason GOD put me thousands of miles away from ever seeing that...but,here I am, witnessing this disturbing nature of the wild!
