The vibe is better. This feels right. At least once a decade the Jets have gone to the AFC championship and held the lead in some of those games. Those close calls with the Super Bowl you could taste. Now is the time. We are taking that step forward.
In my mind, the mark of a good logo is whether a sixth grade kid with a pencil could easily sketch it out during class. That is what makes it elegant. And this logo certainly qualifies.
Watching this makes me feel so happy. That logo was one of the main reasons I chose the jets as my team. As a teen in the UK when the NFL was just starting to be shown on TV this logo was just about the coolest thing I'd seen. It felt futuristic and exciting and hearing Jim's story cements all those feelings. Thank you Jim!
That logo is why I'm a Jets fan .....green was my favorite color and after the kotite 1 15 season they had jets hats on clearance for 1 dollar and that logo was one of the coolest things I seen I bought the hat then Curtis Martin became a jet and I was hooked for life .....that logo is one of my favorite logos of any logo in history
My favorite Jets logo is tied to one of my guitar hero’s and the first song I learned on guitar ??? Mind is blown. And is “Hey Joe”, which can be construed as Hey Joe Namath, the only super bowl won by the jets (so far), in the year of my birth? Ok, if this isn’t a sign the Jets will win it all this year, I don’t know what is. Let’s go JETS!
Jim Pons also played with The Turtles, and Frank Zappa's Mother's of Invention. The Turtles played a command performance at the Whit House for Patricia Nixon sweet 16. Very interesting guy, has an autobiography out
As a teenager in 1981, I got sucked into the Jets thanks to the playoff season and the sack exchange. The logo was seared into my head. I would draw it on my school notebooks. So, so happy they have brought it back! ❤❤😎😎
What an inspiring story. I guess you never know when the right opportunity will come along. This logo is my favorite logo for any team in any sport. That forward moving fighter jet/plane with the angled letters looks so simple yet aggressively styled and bold. Soaring fast on the field. Thank you, Jim Pons and thank you New York Jets for bringing this back and paying respect to the creator.

I became a fan through association in 2004/2005 and one of the things that did not like about he Jets was its logo. When I took a trip down Jets history I noticed this logo and always always wished they would go back to it. THE BEST logo for the Jets ever. Minimalist, sleek and clean.
Sam and Zack stunk up the last uniforms. The Jets returning to that iconic logo signals a return to excellence and the start of a new golden era of Jets football.

Just wish that jetstream was going up on the pants for the stripe, to go with the helmet logo. Then I think the uniform would be my favorite. But I’d like to know everyone else’s opinion on that idea.
It's not that we DEMANDED to return to this logo, i think everyone knew that the last uniforms were so terrible that when the jets pulled out the retros last year we all knew anything than what we had currently would be better lmao
