I’m a direct descendant of Jacques Léger called Larosette (the small rose), was a drummer soldier in the '"Troupes de Marine" at the garrison at Fort Naxouat( Fort Nashwaak NB)Having taken his leave, 30 year old Jacques married around 1693. His bride was Madeleine Trahan, daughter of Guillaume Trahan and Madeleine Brun. The couple settled at Port-Royal, where their 11 children were born. The Léger of New Brunswick descend from two of their sons
