I'm 47 now and I've been listening to house\trance since 1995 - the days of Sasha and Digweed. I've been aware of Anjunadeep for a couple of years now and just can't get enough of what the label produces. As James says in the video it is deep, melodic, emotional and mature music, that can be listened to anywhere. Long may it continue!
I'm with you Matt. 43 been into house/trance since the early days (skinny puppy, NIN< front242) Been on the Anjunna train since early 2000's. The talent that anjunna brings in now is def next gen... Long my it continue!
anjunadeep has been my study or work music for several years now! so soothing and relaxing, but the beats are just so good as well! been a trance/electronic/house music fan since the 90s as well
I came across Anjunadeep about 10 years ago, loved it then but this last 4 years it’s all I listen to and I think it is music for the soul, Met James and Jody last year in Finsbury Park and they were two gentlemen, no snobbery with this style of music and the people that make it and listen to it are genuinely nice people who all get along regardless of their backgrounds, I’d agree 100% being into this music you just know your going to get on with the people listens to the same music 😎 As James said in the documentary it’s unique music that can be both introspective and sociable depending on the situation and this is what I love with it. Don’t know if I could live without Anjunadeep at this stage it’s just music for life, not even a fan of Anjunabeats now but can listen to it now and again. Long may Anjuna continue in both guises 👌👍
Must have watched this 20 times and it always gives me goosebumps! So proud to be such a passionate diehard fan of this beautiful label! Anjunafamily all the way! 💞💃💞
Anjunadeep 11 is a masterpiece, every year the series gets better and better, been folowing since 02, sorry James for the lose of your sister, all is well 😎
Moving forward to Anjunadeep 11. The sound keeps captivating and inspiring. Continue working for our ears James. The Anjuna family is an amazing group of people.
Anjunadeep is a pure diamond, lost and found in between so much bad, even sickening music that surrounds us on this planet. Well done guys, keep up the good, positive vibes, this world is a better place because of the sounds coming from your hands*
I'm an Audiophile since 2004, I've been listening to various Genres of music over the years, from House, Uplifting Trance, Retro classics, Bollywood, etc, But never have I ever felt certain kind of music very special to me that defined my identity and taste in music that made me feel like home, Oh yeah, that's where I belong. I remember first time I came across Anjunabeats was in the year 2007, when I heard this track called Amsterdam By Luminary (Smith & Pledger Remix) I was jaw dropped by how it made me feel, after that A&B dropped their best ever creation Sun & Moon, which became very Popular in my Country and it was the Sunburn festival Anthem of the year, I got myself hooked to Anuja music, now lately over 5 years, with the Likes of Jody, James, Ben Bohmer, Marsh and the list simply goes on, these guys are incredible at what they can create and make me feel just like home with the kind of Music, James Grant thanks a ton 🙏🏻 for your Passion towards ANJUNADEEP, everytime I attended Open Air events of Anjunadeep I break down in Tears, It's immense joy of Happiness ❤❤🎉
Thank you so much for this documentary. I feel even closer to you now and the people of Anjunadeep, we have a shared story together. I literally cried the whole documentary, thank you for your wise words. James I completely agree on that one :"a shared interest in the same music almost like prequalify someone as it as a friend". You highlighted today many parts of my life on which I knew whether it would make sense or not. Peace and Love to y'all
I discovered Anjunadeep shortly before the release of mix 09 and have been with you guys ever since. Love the emotion that comes in every tune and absolutely love deep 11 ... listening to it everyday at work and while driving. Many thanks for the amazing tracks produced by every artist. You guys are truly amazing.
I like the fact that so much of James Grants own mixes gives you this slight Way Out West feel. And then he actually grabbed one half of Way Out West when he hired Jody. The Anjunadeep Edition playlist on SoundCloud has so much of the Global Underground feel, but more melodic. I really recommend checking it out. It’s literally hundreds of hours of absolutely fantastic deep melodic house.
Oh my god, you guys can literally do no wrong. I am truly at a loss for words, not only with your music productions and shows, but these videos really sum up what Anjunadeep means to all of us. I truly have found joy being part of this family. I can't wait to see what the future holds. Thank you so much for doing what you do!
This is really good! How did it take me this long to find this interview. This is what I seek to hear from producers and the fans themselves, i love this reassurance about this feeling that connect us to music and us to each other. James said: "Our tastes in music pre qualifies us as friends" that's true and I'm so happy there are so many of us out there, we may not know each other by names but we know we are a legion. For someone like me who grew up listening to trance alone, feeling like an outcast amongst my own people, this is very freeing! some sort of validation... ❤
I am a fan of anjunadeep since the 1st volume and have been listening to each for tons of times. Thank you very much for bringing your sound into my life ❤
All sounds very familiar and relatable. The Anjuna fam is beautiful. I've been an Anjunadeep fan since Larry Mountains 54 back in 2005 and the inaugural comp is still incredible. The move throughout all the years and the evolution of the label into more than 'just a label' is amazing and feels very natural. Keep doing what you're doing :D
Been deep in Anjuna stuff from Anjunadeep:02 by Jaytech & James Grant, and their remix for "Flamming June" marked that whole year/summer for me & had me falling in love with overall label concept. May you long continue to bless us with great music! One love!
Wow, So cool to see the history of anjunadeep 😊❤really love the label, would also love to work there and be part of it and these people, enjoying the music. Music makes me happy and healthy. Thank you for this great music Label. All the best for you. ✌️☺️
I discovered Above & Beyond by chance one night back in 2011 while on RU-vid. Thanks to episode 395 of Trance Around The World i discovered the Anjuna family and have been a huge fan of EVERYTHING you guys put out. I've got tons of your albums and podcasts I listen to frequently. I've never been able to come to a live show unfortunately, but I try to watch/listen to every live broadcast from the Anjuna family. You're right when you said the fans are like family.
When one or two persons make thousands of people happy and feeling good they should become more than Nobel Price... Greetings from 41 years old polish listener!
Looking at this now explains the direction where Anjunadeep went, that is to be emotionally deep, and it is a bit ironic for me to discover and love this label since two years ago for its older releases, around Anjunadeep 05's time, when the "deep" was literally the deep house (and I still think CD2 of 05 is the best of all because of this). I wish Anjunadeep one day can do at least a review of its heritage and reintroduce people to the great electronic music from the early 2010s. (I listen to new releases and buy the merch so don't hit me. 😂)
Fuck, man, late in producing music and am working on my LP, but one thing for sure is to be a part of this label one day, a man can only dream, huh? Everyday I am a always listening to their joint, so good.
I absolutely love this video, the emotions and passion that can be felt is beyond anything. Anjunadeep is and always will be the best thing to happen to me. Thank you Anjunadeep, for existing. ❤️❤️
Ajunadeep wasn't the side of Anjuna music that I paid much attention to, to be honest, but I now realize what a mistake that was. Love Anjunadeep as much as Anjunabeats now.
Above and beyond got me through the door. Deep set from abgt 250 opened my eyes to the deep side. I never looked back. Deep is my favorite label out there.
