I didn't realize Beetlejuice was part of Fox Kids. I mainly recall seeing it on Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network (I think?). Thanks for doing this retrospective. It's informative and a nice trip down memory lane.

I always thought the theme song of Taz-Mania made fun of it's less detailed backgrounds, as it includes the words "the sky's always yellow in rain or shine" - just my thoughts.

I wish DIC Animation came back Look they were amazing back then Adventures Of Sonic the Hedgehog and other cartoons by them were entertaining, funny, amazing and REVOLUTIONARY. Blame Cookie Jar Entertainment for making DIC Animation go defunct.
In 1995, Fox Kids dealt with a case of stolen thunder when Batman, Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures moved to Kids' WB, a childrens' TV block started by The WB, the newest TV network to launch at that time.

I remember Dog City. Unfortunately I wasn't able to finish watching every episodes because each time I was watching it, then some time later there would be the "This is a test. A test of the emergency broadcasting system. This is only a test." Because of that I had to change the channel to Nickelodeon and I was looking forward to watching the shows that would air on Saturday morning on Fox Kids. Fortunately Nickelodeon would air old Yogi Bear cartoons on Saturday Mornings for a while and of course Nicktoons came after. So at least I had something to watch on Saturday Mornings for a while.
The only line I remember from Little Shop is "And when you got your new tennies on, you're stepping on the doo doo" We still sing it to each other.." But I did watch it
That does lead to a question though. What other shows were airing on multiple channels at the same time? Muppet Babies was airing on CBS and FOX at the same time. And wasn't Beetlejuice airing on ABC and FOX at the same time? Then Nickelodeon picked up the cable rights. That's where I mostly watched the show - on Nick. They paired ut up with Weinerville. Know that show? Beetlejuice ran on both Fox Kids and ABC at the same time, during the 1991-1992 season. It aired on ABC on Saturdays and on Fox Kids on weekdays. Muppet Babies ran on both Fox Kids and CBS at the same time period, during the same season. It aired on CBS on Saturdays and on Fox Kids in repeats on weekdays.
When you get to 1993-1996 parts, will you talk about the "We'll be right back" bumper characters FOX made for them? Like the Fox, the Fly Lady, Loofy and his master, Willby Baxter, the 50's kids, the cleaning sheep, the Army Bulls, the aliens on their couch and there were few minor ones that didn't have as many bumpers.
I might. Those bumpers lasted until the fall of 1997. It depends on what I have to talk about beyond the series themselves. I still have to talk about the Totally Kids PSA's and Magazine, The Fox Kids Countdown Radio Show, and Margaret Loesch.
My issue was our Fox station replaced these bumpers with their Kids Club host, so I got to see very little of them. But, I have seen them. The one that stuck out the most was Wilby, because, you know, puns. Maybe the Army Ox and the Super Hero bumpers for their action shows like X-Men and The Tick. You are right, they did start in 93. Lasted four years.
Toonamp Ouch, sorry to hear that you couldn't see many of them. My favs were The Fox and the 50's kids. I was right on 93, I meant when it ended. I thought it ended in 96, not in 97. They were the best bumpers Fox Kids had, unlike the ones after them.
If you want to know what a B:TAS version of Black Canary would have looked like, just watch Justice League Unilimted, which is in the same universe with the same art style.

Beetlejuice: Meh. I didn't really have any interest in it. Bill & Ted: I had no interest in the movie, I have no interest in the cartoon. Little Shop: Never watched this. I didn't see the movie until a couple of years ago, and it's become one of my favorite movies. Then I found an episode of this on RU-vid. All I have to say is, ugh! Taz-Mania: This is one I only watched when nothing else was on. It was cute, though. I have to wonder what my mom would have thought of this show, because she loved Taz. A word about the bumpers, my all time favorite Saturday morning bumpers were CBS's from 1984, but that's just me. I like Dynamo Duck, myself. But I have this thing for cute, fuzzy animals. The NBC bumpers of the 90's were the WORST! Dog City: As big a Muppet Nut as I am, I wasn't too crazy about this show. Mostly because I wasn't aware this WAS a Jim Henson production, to tell you the truth. Eek! The Cat: Never watched it. As big a cat lover as I am, I have never had an interest in this show. The Plucky Duck Show: No. Batman TAS: OK. Unpopular opinion time. I never watched this. I had absolutely no interest. I saw the promos, and it was just too dark for my taste. That, and I never really liked Batman. But you have to keep something in mind, I was born female, and my only sibling is an older sister. We were both born in the early 1980's, and we gravitated towards stuff like Care Bears, Strawberry Shortcake, and My Little Pony. We liked cutesy stuff, and funny animals, and we weren't too fond of action/adventure stuff.
hi i can't fin this cartoon that i have seen on fox kids long time ago, let me tell about it all i remember. there was a magician and his skeleton assistant they were messing with a boy which has some type of mutant friends in his closet to protect him. every episode this guy does some spell while doing it he locks a case to make it work. this boy's friends should have to stayed upside down in the closet in order to get some rest and ready for fight. these are the all details i remember. anyone knows it?
Ns s Could you be talking about the Creepy Crawlers cartoon? It was a syndication cartoon, but there was a good chance that it could have been on your Fox Station.

I'm going by order when each series premiered and I'm limiting to eight shows per episode because if I didn't each episode would be extremely long. Next ep, I will cover the rest of 92 all of 93 and some of 94.
