Thanks for the video! Our local 2nd California Volunteer Cavalry, Co. L was posted at Fort Laramie in June-September 1865. They rode with your boys and the 11th Kansas under Moonlight to Dead Man's Fork where the Lakota stole their horses and they walked back on foot.
Ft. Collins, CO., is named after LTC Collins of the 11th OVC; Lt. Casper Collins was killed by Indians at Platte Bridge. Casper, WY is named after him. Two brave, outstanding officers of the 11th OVC👍
