I had my first jimmy John sandwich yesterday which made me google everything about them and their history. I freaking loved their roast beef.

My husband and I go to Jimmy John's every Sunday for the #9 Italian Unwich. Freaking amazing!

Jimmy Johns was one of the reasons I made it thru college at EIU! Loved seeing the old Charleston store. Remember it well. I also ate from Booby's in Carbondale! Didn't know that Booby's inspired Jimmy Johns. Loved this video and love Jimmy Johns!

Had never heard of it when I got hired as a delivery driver in Highschool. Fell in love with the business model (and sandwiches) and fully intend on franchising one day

I was a Junior at EIU in 1983 and had his sandwiches delivered all the time. They haven't changed except initially they were skimpy with the meat. Now they're even better. I always had a Buffalo Bird Hoagie, which later became the Hunter's Club. At the time, Domino's Pizza was the only place that delivered and it tasted terrible. When Jimmy started delivering sandwiches everybody loved them!

Used to avoid jimmy johns looking at the menu, didn’t seem like anything appealing. Swore entirely by Jersey mikes which I still sometimes enjoy. Never been a crazy sandwich guy but today I’ve eaten 3 slim 5 sandwiches, completely quality ingredients, fresh bread, even put a sandwich in the fridge for 7 hours and it still was as delicious and the one I had fresh from the store. Quite an impressive business

Lol - instead of "Behind the Music" it's "Behind the Sandwich." TBH, Jimmy John's rocks! They kick the crap out of every other franchise/chain sandwich shop I've been to. Togo's? Kinda bland... Jersey Mike's? Eh, not quite. Subway? Oh, please... It's really the ingredients. The fresh baked bread, the quality meats, even the condiments are gourmet and that's why JJ is a cut above. I just wished they closed a little later, every location around me closes at 4PM! Come on, who doesen't wanna pick up a 'wich after they get off work?

Feel free to chime in on what I'm posting. Picky eaters really get on my nerves especially when they are mature adults in there 40's and 50's, to me it's sad. I work for a company that sells numerous products and sometimes the reps from these companies will pay us a visit and bring lunch for everyone. Today a Rep came in with a big box of Jimmy John's subs a variety pack. These sandwiches were made the way they are supposed to be with Lettuce, Tomatoes and Onion. Some guys took a pass, some opened up their sandwich and said who in their right mind would put rabbit food on a sandwich and scraped everything off, some also said and Mayo. Remember these are not young people they are in their late 40's to mid 50's. It took me back in time when my kids were like 6 or 7 years old acting the same way. It would be funny if Jimmy Johns came up with a box to put numerous sandwiches, all plain with nothing on them and decorate this box with kids pack and give it to these middle-aged kids.
