Even though you could get 60% of Kirby's Dream Collection on the Wii Virtual Console, one thing worth mentioning is that all the games can work with just the Wii Remote by itself in the collection. Plus, in the Kirby's History section, there's 3 episodes of Kirby: Right Back At Ya that you can watch as well
Lol same except I started with nightmare in dreamland after seeing how cute he was in super smash flash 2 v 0.7 (I am 15 btw and yes I have been playing smash flash for that long still playing to this day recently I am playing my first official smash game which is ultimate. I was also born 2007)
The 20th Anniversary came with a music CD with some classic songs and some remakes and a collectible book showing the past of the then current games in the series
Only thing is the tracks play through once, so if you're listening to the CD you'll get some tracks that play for like 40 seconds before they just move on to the next. Also, I think I saw some people get a stick of gum with their copy. XD
I wouldn't complain about the Kirby 20th anniversary collect, especially in comparison to other Nintendo collections. Mario All-Stars has only 4 games (later on 5 games with the inclusion of Super Mario World), Mario 3-D All-Stars has only 3 games, and the only extra bonus content is the soundtracks. 6 Kirby games + 3 episodes of the Kirby anime was quite a deal
Just wanna make a small correction, but believe it or not, Kirby is not a first party Nintendo franchise, it is a second party franchise for Nintendo. Meaning it's still exclusive to Nintendo, but Nintendo doesn't also fully own it themselves either, like Pokemon or Fire Emblem.
21:51 it did actually come with a cd filled with songs throughout kirby's history, it was personally my first introduction to things like butter building, 02's battle and all sorts of other classics

5:18 I guess you were thinking too much on Kirby Superstar to think nightmare in dreamland drop abilities as a hat in similar fashion. My only problem with superstar ultra is the controller scheme changed, they could have it as an alternative controller scheme but no, they had to get rid of it completely.
0:57 Comparing the amount of people living and the number of days in the year it's more a guarantee than a probability at this point. 22:05 #KirbyCafé My favorite Kirby Game is Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. Not despite, but because it's approach to leveldesign is so different. It probably really helped the game to carve out it's own Kohlkaverne ;) in my heart that I had never touched an Metroid or Castlevania Game back then. I thought it was unique. -Children are naive, okay?-
Fun fact: kirby superstar (fun pak) was the game that introduced copy ability hats to the games. WHy it was made was for the one feature of throwing the hat and make a friend out of this hat. Also, the appearance of kirby had some copy ability was changed, like kirby sometime changed his color depending on the copy abilities.
kirby dream land 3, kirby superstar, and kirby epic yarn are the kirby games that i like the style the most. Also, i love the dedede model in kirby return to dream land, bc after that, dedede wasn't a cute li'l guy anymore
I still remember my first Kirby game ever on my twelfth birthday, Kirby Super Star Ultra! It was also how Kirby became one of my favorite video game characters since I got to know him more… AND Kirby helped me through a hard time when I lost my passion for Disney (and other cartoons). So basically, Kirby’s a real hero to me
That Clinton joke with the punchline being Kirby likes to suck nearly choked me! Good God i need to learn not to sip on my drink when i see a joke setup.
The 2nd Kirby game badly needs a remaster. The first game was recognized and many of the aspects of the first game was in other future Kirby games. But the 2nd game is just forgotten. Dreamland 3 is perfect just the way it is
you're right connor the waffle everything would be better if they had kirby thats why the switch has sold over 2 million copies its because it has a ton of kirby games on it
If you had a Club Nintendo account, you could register the 20th Anniversary Dream Collection to your Club Nintendo account and get a deck of Kirby playing cards in the mail for free.
Happy Birthday Conner and also I have played Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland on my PC and it was a pretty good game to play and also I noticed that I am excited for Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe which comes out next month which I can't wait to play it but if you go to Twitter they added more new stuff to it llke the new copy ability Sand, the new minigames, and the enemies for both the Mech Ability and the Sand Ability but my favorite has to be the masks and I noticed that theirs 86 Masks so I hope that Tiff, Tuff, Escargoon, and the NME Salesman are in the game as masks cause that would be cool to see in the game but the two things i just don't like are the outlines and the King Dedede's design like for the outlines they should add a setting for taking off the outlines from the characters and King Dedede's design looks like a Club Penguin design like it's just not good. But i hope for this year HAL Laboratory does do a Sequel for Kirby Right Back At Ya and keeping Tiff, Tuff, and Escargoon in it and adding new characters in it like Bandana Waddle Dee, Adeleine, Ribbon, Marx, Magolor, Taranza, Susie Haltmann, Elline, The Three Mage Sisters, Elfilin, Clawroline, and even more and also I hope we get official plushies of Tiff, Tuff, and Escargoon cause the Kirby Fandom and Twitter are still recognizing Kirby Right Back At Ya more so I hope we get that from HAL Laboratory this year I hope
18:20 I mean, I only had Kirby's Dreamland, the original Gameboy handheld title as my first impression and here I am today, obsessing over the blob while there were much more modern options for games in 2008 to choose from. If _that_ can get someone hooked, any of those games certainly will... Except for extra epic yarn, what they did to a perfectly good Prince Fluff title was abysmal.
Nightmare in Dreamland was my second Kirby game after The amazing mirror, i played it in a GBA emulator when i was 11 and it made fall into the Kirby rabbit hole, also i went INSANE when i realized i could play as MOTHERFUCKING META KNIGHT, even when i never completed that game mode, i'll always love NID because it welcomed me to this amazing franchise
Kirby is enjoyable for me is most of the things he’s in. However, Kirby’s extra epic yarn has given me a burning hatred for the D E V I L I S H M O D E. Where the game make you feel like your in You know, while being constantly harassed by a demon, even in boss stages too. So if you want 100% completion then yeah, you HAVE to clear every level in devilish mode.
The 20th anniversary did actually come with stuff! There was a cd with a collection of og songs as well as booklet that went into some of the design choices of the characters and games!
Okay it would cool if they did remastered versions of both Kirby Triple Deluxe and Kirby Planet Robobot and also new epilogue modes for Taranza and Susie just like with Magolor. Like seeing Taranza finding Queen Sectonia after she was defeated from Kirby so that they can be together again and for Susie maybe she tries to find her father after Star Dream was destroyed by Kirby with him in it or maybe she tries finding Kirby’s Robobot Suit after Kirby defeated Star Dream or maybe having a backstory for Susie I don’t know but it would be cool to see if HAL ever does it and put it in the Switch.
Actually, if you really want to get really technical about it, Kirby's Dream Collection would have 13 games when you count Kirby Super Star as 8 instead of 1. Not 14.
22:29 There is a slight correction at that part, it is HAL Laboratories that gives Kirby special treatment NOT Nintendo and the reason why it is because that Kirby is Hal's main franchise
For the Dream collection, I feel like the early spin-offs, amazing mirror and Air ride couldn’t be included because spin-offs aren’t usually in game compilations and they would have to develop a gba emulator for the Wii just for amazing mirror and it wouldn’t be worth it and The Wii and DS stuff were still being sold at the time so including them wouldn’t be good for revenue.
