i know, I honestly love sand green legos, its a shame they and their apparently cisgender crystal representative are largely confined to the Harry Potter line
For sure, a lot of Lego's early attempts at "sets for girls" are really weird cause they're so basic, Friends is pretty much just regular sets but the minifigs are a lil different and that's it

Man people hated Belleville more than Duplo back in the day. Though a part of it might be because i was deep in with the Bionicle and Ninjago fandoms, who were super girl-phobic

This reminds me I used to like collecting all the different kinds of studs because it's what they would use at the end of the blasters for star wars. I thought each one had a different elemental property and put them all together in this big stupid long ass blaster and thought it as the "ultimate gun." Being super into Metroid Prime probably helped.
Now you're gonna have to make a multi-part series on a "Lego Studs Elemental Powers Iceberg", or MAYBE a tierlist video instead... I guess... I expect to see it in my feed in a month.
Definitely a gamer mindset look at Lego studs, and I like it. Would’ve made turning my Lego playtime into RPGs a bit more interesting. Wasn’t as fun as it sounds. It wasn’t D&D, it was essentially just having my Legos play Fire Emblem except I got to fudge all the numbers. Which kinda removed the fun.

@@theaceofone2610 someone becoming more fabulous and or more lgbt in appearance and dress. Big yellow's been getting more and more feminine with makeup and such so people joke they are getting "yassified" (generally in a supportive way not a rude way)

Look, I haven't done anything with lego in like 20 years so whenever I see these lego videos I just smile and nod as the video plays. However, whenever you mention Belville I feel a deep seated fear rise from within me. What is this evil entity that consumes lego pieces, sending them to an eternity of damnation? I imagine it is Limbo of sorts for lego pieces and it is truly the villain of this series. I will not sleep tonight.

The thing about early (pre WB) Harry Potter, was that it WAS whimsical. While it was still being run by Scholastic, an actual book company, all of their promotional stuff was extremely whimsical and colorful. There are a lot of people who prefer pre-WB Harry Potter over the movie stuff. It's also the era before all the terf stuff started happening, soooooo.... yeeeeahhh...
Yep. Ironically Harry Potter is really great for all the things WB and JK are trying to wash out of it. It was fun and whimsical, people who were struggling with any parts of their identity could find comfort in a world where those differences would be so minor that no one would mind (what's odd about someone being gay, bi, trans, or Irish when you have people turning into animals at will and flying around on broomsticks and motorbikes or being Bulgarian?), and people who were run down by the bleak mundanity of modern existence could find joy in the thought of joining this world of strangeness and wonder.
I am 70% certain I accidentally ate a few of these pieces in light blue, I accidentally inhaled while holding a chest of them next to my mouth when I was like 7.

fun fact, knuckles’s hands use a unique gauntlet piece that slots into normal minifigure hands, so you can remove them and hold onto the handlebar, it’s just not shown on the box for knuckles glove consistency

2009 pirate wave was what introduced this piece to me. I love this particular theme because of the vibe that it gives, and it is also the reason why I love the anime One Piece today: the earlier episodes have exactly the same vibe as this theme.

Thank you for awakening some deeply buried memories. Haven't really thought about legos in a long time aside from, like, some of the videogames. Never owned any gems but did have one singular crystal, until I gave away all my legos to my nephews.

This was definitely my favorite Lego piece as a kid! I always called them Chaos Emeralds, and they were always a sought-after source of power in the made up stories I'd think up. Such good memories!
I always went wild over these ones. I'd always, because I was the kinda kid to make up lore for my LEGO creations, I'd always have these crystals be like this amazing power source, like basically Chaos Emeralds.
In my lego subcult as a kid we had a really, really weird form of gem- we used the transparent makings of the 1x2 flat grate pieces, calling them "plasma".
If I had a nickel for every time recently someone use "regulated" in place of "relegated", I'd have two nickels, which isn't much, but it's weird that is happened twice in quick succession.
When I was a kid I once went to the Lego pick a brick wall and they had the translucent red gems there. I got a literal handful of them and to this day my gem collection is overwhelmed by like 100 red ones.

I remember seeing this piece for the first time in an Adventurers preview in the November-December 1997 LEGO Mania Club magazine. Really just a picture of Johnny Thunder holding it, but that told you everything you needed to know about the theme and was probably half the hype all on its own. For all of 1998 it was a very cool and special piece, serving as a one-of-a-kind McGuffin for the Adventurers and (to a lesser degree) Ninja, before we started getting treasure chests full of them. Always wanted to know about the different colors and uses over the years, thank you for making this video!
