I dug a little into the topic and heard some rumors of miclee apparently being a little disliked in the community before he even received the cape (and that he had some drama with Notch himself somehow?). I don't know how real any of this is but I think it's a little sus that he'd lose a cape over just players begging for some, cuz that must have happened with every other person who received a custom cape.

Mojang should contact u:micleee and give him/her back his/her cape. That would be pretty cool move, imo.

@@IMPERZY My old Minecraft account was one of the hardest things to recover. I forgot the password.. and which email it was assigned to. I have 4 different emails I tried, none of which worked. It turned out it was under my dads old email that he forgot the password to and had his old phone-number assigned to it so he wasn't able to get into it. After about 4-6 months, he finally found the password written on a sticky note in his desk and I was able to migrate my first Minecraft account to a Mojang account and under my secondary email address (since I have 2 accounts). So I can tell you, it can be very difficult to recover an account by a simple password reset.

You can get a cape by donating 10 USD to OptiFine on Java Edition, only players with optifine can see it though (About 90% of Java Players use OptiFine)

I don‘t like mod capes except the optifine one. BLC capes for example can have animations on them or are a kittle curved to seem more realistic but it just doesn‘t fit the minecraft style

Optifine capes are the closest capes to being a official minecraft cape, since a ton mojang employees have them such as notch.
