The History of Moonpie and RC COLA 

I knew that combo as the “poor man’s lunch” I’m in Houston

We can pick up Moonpies about anywhere here in the mid-Ohio Valley, but only chocolate, vanilla, & banana, &, occasionally, chocolate/peanut butter. When we go down south , we can also get lemon & strawberry Moonpies, as well. While living in the Mobile Alabama area, I discovered that mini Moonpies are a staple of the local Mardi Gras parades. They're thrown to the crowds just like beads & candy.

The NRBQ version of the song RC Cola & a Moon Pie is such a blast.

Now I want a Moonpie!

Being a Southern I love Rc Cola and a Moon Pie. Greetings from a East Tennessee Lass.

In Fallout Tactic, they have "Happy pies" and a side character bio that read "he only eat Nuka Cola and Happy Pies"

We call moon pie's wagon wheels in Canada. Very tasty!!! RC Cola is good too. Better than Pepsi.

Moonpies & "Double Cola" or "Ski" has been popular in parts of southern Kentucky for many years. Just ask the "Kentucky Headhunters" about their song, "Dumas Walker's".

This video often pictures Whoopie Pies rather than moon pies. It also talks about them like a lunch food, not a sugary dessert. I like the things, but the narrative here is weirdly off.

Moon Pies can be found on the West Coast usually in bulk stores like Smart and Final. Unfortunately RC Cola, especially the diet kind is a bit harder to find!

I will always take Rc Cola over Coke and Pepsi every day.
