We had the opportunity not to long ago to stop by MotoStuka in Dripping Springs, TX and get some insight into how they came to be, how they operate, and even some great life advice!
Greeted by owner Rob Howe and Luke (Rob's mastiff), we sat down and chatted with Rob about his deep rooted passions for motorcycles. He also shared how he created MotoStuka, which was born from a simple idea: making high quality soft goods. He has since turned that idea into a successful business and brandname that is known world-wide in the custom motorcycle community.
Rob also humbly walked us through the process of making his iconic Shanks gloves. With high values on tradition, hard work, and quality, Rob and his team put a ton of labor and love into everything they make by hand.

It's awesome how the world will drop something in your lap and you didn't know you needed it. That dog has freakin' huge feet. Thanks for the video.

Well done to you fellow, well done! This kinda of artisanal craftsmanship are one of the things we lost that made America great. From the industrial revolution through the 1950’s Americans made everything with quality wether it be small batch like yours or even massed produced wears like Dickies they were still made by humans in an American factory and they took pride in their work, true craftsman. Nowadays you can’t even learn a trade like this. Most of the men and women who do this have had to teach themselves. They take the initiative and their proclivity towards the artistic and then apply it. Then you have the whole art form of running a business which is a terribly tuff thing to do this day and age! So hats off to you for being a craftsman and a businessman on top of all that. I’m glad to se people reviving the art of handmade goods. Be it MotoStucka, BlackBear work wear, Norman Porter handmade Denim and cordura work jeans/pants/jackets! It’s just very very neat! I do believe Americans owe a debt of gratitude to these women and men who wake up everyday to bust their tale to bring us a quality product! Great little video man and please if at all possible hand down your trade and company to a younger person who will fight for the same things you do and keep the brand alive for another few centuries!!! Very inspiring and I believe I’m gonna order a few pairs for all my men in the family that ride and my friends that ride!!!

This so inspirational.... Really it’s what motorcycling is all about. Not how big or how fast but something that’s more personal. It’s about the details, the build you own and the journey you are carving. Whether you make a whole custom bike from scratch or you fabricated the mudguard or the sissy bar it’s the same thing. Individuals but somehow the same journey , love that people like you are on my ride👌. Thanks man👍🏼

These gloves are bulletproof. Bought two Pairs. One for riding and one for work (fireman). I use the shit out of them at work and they have yet to tear or even show any distress. Solid gloves.

Awesome! I can relate. Same for me always in the corporate world, but recently quit my job after 18 years, life is too short, no more live draining.

Nice story that sells gloves. I bought a pair and the thumb on one of the gloves was much smaller than the other and tight on my thumb. I emailed the guy multiple times over several weeks and he never responded. Not a fan. For the price I paid for these I could have bought several pairs of gloves from Amazon or my local farm store and can return them if there is a problem.
