Oh I am looking forward to an ongoing series with Alex and Jennifer. Please let me know when the next episode is. Where can I get the Pickles t-shirt that Jennifer is wearing?
Really enjoyable show and great format. Our dog's name is Max but he goes by Stankee... and everyone calls him Stankee. Can you imagine? Anyway, coincidentally, my wife's name is Joanne. That's all I got.
Love to see the old footage of Joe Valenti and Jennifer from the original court!!! Joey thinks that’s from 2012 …. Full video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ClL_cKSjm9E.htmlsi=-kQlnDl2rMPiKrq1
I believe it was May 2013 we were at the SeaTac tournament which is Seattle Tacoma, and that was my third time to Seattle for that tournament with the best players in the world. Just so happened we had the best player in California and one of the best player in New York and we thought we might as well go to court #1, the first ever court. Jennifer had the connections and got the elusive address, I had the camera. We got a recommendation to get some burgers from a great burger joint before we had to get on the ferry to Bainbridge Island. At the time it was a secret location, undisclosed, nobody ever really was invited there or told about the court but we knew it existed. Thank goodness one of us had a ball. I remember searching the car for a Pickleball after we got off the ferry, and were on Bainbridge Island. I feel blessed and honored to be able to have this video, and the memories of our adventure to court # 1
Awesome interview guys. Hamner and Lucore are Pickleball Royalty. It was interesting to see their take on Rally. While I enjoy Rally.... the only time it should be used is MLP or when courts are crowded in Rec Play. I have to say the paddle toss by Jeff Warnick was impressive. The PPA needs to host an event for paddle tossing, similar to NBA's 3 point shots and Dunk contest. Jimmy could MC it
Fun story. I asked Ben Johns for a picture. I gave my phone to a random stranger to take the pic and this stranger takes a selfi of herself. Now I have a selfi of Alex Hamner. 😂
Great history lesson! Thanks! You should make this a docu series. Great ladies! BUT what about the other terms in Pickleball, like where did the term Dink come from?

Watched the video with Jen and Joe V playing a game on the original court back in 2015. Hi from Rochester NY, the home of Vatenti Sports. Loved the paddle throw😂, had to be a world record. I played my first nationals 2015 Robson Ranch, Az vs Jennifer's father Bob Youngren-defending 70+ champion mens doubles 1st round as a 3.0. Learned a lot🤯 11-1, 11-1...
Robert Elliott, the founder of Engage paddles who won numerous national championships, told me several years ago that his days of winning medals were over because of the young talented former tennis players coming into the sport at that time. There are so many former champions such as Tim Nelson, Phil Bagley, Enrique Ruiz, Steve Wong and Aspen Kern to name a few that come nowhere near the medal stands nowdays. Crazy to think of what the sport may look like in 5 years @@morekingofthecourt
@@kimleith1378 Hello, yes I have known Pat for years ... FUN FACT: In 2005 Pat and my mom (Beverly Youngren) were 2 of the 3 FIRST EVER USA Pickleball Ambassadors. They also helped pickleball get started in north San Diego County, CA.
