Thank you for a very informative and well narrated video. I had no idea that the Saudi Kingdom was so young. I lived in Riyadh in 1970 for one year when I was only 10 years old, with my parents and family. It was quite a cultural shock for a family from Northern California. I learned so much in just one year about Arab/Muslim religion and culture. I had to defend myself as a 10 year old boy from wild packs of dogs that roamed the suburbs of Riyadh from time to time.. I had rock fights with the Bedouin kids who lived in tents with their families on the out skirts of town. Most of them with goat herders and were often seen herding their goats down the streets. Luckily nobody got seriously injured in our rock fights. Our home was in between a Saudi Arabia family, who we got along with very well and swam in their pool and often went in their home to socialize with their family. On the other side of us, was an American/French family with an American father and a French mother. Their two children were almost the exact same ages as my older brother and I, and were our best friends. We went to the same school with them, which was a large home converted into a make shift school. Boys and girls in Saudi Arabia do not go to school together as it's not allowed. I could go on and on about the things that happened in just one year, but I wanted to give people an idea what life was like.

I've decided I need to step outside of the western realm further than I have been prior. This is really good stuff man, thanks.

You may not see this, but this video was beautiful. Now, as a Saudi, and a very extensive history reader, I do have to say that this is not %100. But I’d say close to %85-%90 of it was very true. a word of advice from an actual descendant of alrashid family, the word "ebin" literally means "son of". this is the Arabian way of introducing one's self, you state your name followed by your father's name and then his father (your grandpa) afterwards. unless it's a diplomatic council or simply a duel, your name followed by two more would be enough.
