You clearly do not understand that the priority was for acoustics and sightlines. While the vibrant red color and art deco modernist design are jarring, every seat in Segerstrom Hall has a great view. If you want to go see a show in a gaudy antique auditorium with terrible sightlines go to the Pantages.
