Smokey, as crazy as this sounds, was a combatant on the RU-vid series Death Battle, where he defeated McGruff the Crime Dog.

I used to play with matches and start fires for no reason, until I saw and met Smokey as a kid and I stopped playing with fire and matches, cold turkey 🦃.

The old Smokey the Bear PSAs were and still are very informative in telling people to be careful with any kind of fire in the forest. But some of those PSAs frightened me as a kid. His low deep voice is still haunts me to this day. "Its up to everyone, Please help prevent wildfires."

there are two things that, as far as I'm concerned, I wish, and hope can happen to this Bear in Future. 1. His own big screen Movie 2. His own series of video games. how interesting would it be to see something like that happen?

The was a cartoon series that was pretty cute but I don't recall any modern one being made, some episodes in colors got uploaded by the Oklahoma firefighters museum channel on RU-vid for free if you want a nice little evening

Isn’t his name “Smokey The Bear”? What’s this “Smokey Bear” crap?

The proper name of the character is "Smokey Bear". "Smokey The Bear" was the name of his theme song which became incredibly popular and lead many to think that was the proper name of the character.

His name is Smokey Bear --- "the" was added when they wrote the song. It helped with the rhythm of the song.

@@bellabug246 - I’ve seen hundreds of commercials from the 80’s and 90’s- Always was Smokey The Bear. The cartoon character would say “Hi, I’m Smokey THE Bear”. No one and I mean no one ever referred to him as Smokey Bear.

@@BrandManagement That’s a convenient but entirely erroneous explanation of why he is now Smokey Bear. Why can I no longer find commercials where he says “I’m Smokey The Bear”? There were hundreds of them. Look up something called The Mandela Effect. Reality is changing before our eyes.
