Howdy ya’ll. This video will be about the history of the bicycle (According to the current narrative) and how it transformed from a simple device into exquisite, and later motorized, designs. We have the development of the Dandy Horse in 1817 following The Year With No Summer; 1816.
This Dandy Horse eventually evolved into the “Boneshaker”, the “Penny Farthing”, the “Bicycle”, and eventually the motorized machine more commonly known as the “Motor-Cycle”. Today we will look at some really interesting old world photographs of these devices and briefly discuss the narrative.
Thank you for being here - Please share this information and my channel if it interests you! I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

I am amazed that you don't mention the "Rover Safety Bicycle" which revolutionised cycling by having two wheels the same size with drive to the rear wheel by chain, and a brake or brakes. This revolutionised cycling and lead to the explosive growth of cycling, first in the UK and then the rest of the world.

In middle of watching vid. Needed to comment. I love balancing on two wheels. Love u hit up this subject. It would be fun for all for you to research a vid on oldest know bicycle tricks. My friend menntioned not too long ago how they were doing sweet tricks over 100+ yrs ago. I have no doubt they were doing better stuff even back then! They were doing more in the 1980s, imagine 1800's tricks?

I find it incredible how inventions converge at the same point in time. Roads had to vastly improve so that people could ride and drive over realistic distances. Also the internal combustion engine needed the discovery of petroleum from oil. By the way, they use oil in the bitumen tar they make roads with. :)

Where would airplanes be if it wasn't for a couple of bicycle mechanics tinkering in a garage?

That set off fireworks in my head. I travelled and camped on 10 speeds in the 70s, all over Michigan and Ontario as a teen, before it was "invented." Personally Jerod, this was ground-breaking for me. Congrats. I conclude this was a way for the Deviant Elites to maintain control of wheels and gears. They held and hold the Alchemical tech, and used this to maintain control of civilization's recovery, after the "little ice age." I will be watching. Peace!

And that is the reason, I believe this evolution of the bicycle to be more of The Swamps B.S.!

I come from the city of bikes, Copenhagen, so I had heard about this bike before; they were also popular in Denmark. However, there were serious injuries if people crashed on them...!

There is a club of people who ride penny farthings around my city. Even in traffic. They cover pretty long distances too. They're crazy lol

This is a Dandy one. There are two wheeled bicycles in ancient Indian art. Who would invent something like the high wheeler, truly dangerous. Many broken necks, Another hilarious narrative.

I've watched the show several times and shared it with a friend who is a velodrome racer. It's hilarious to think that we have this archaic old-fashioned looking device and then someone had the thought, hey let's stick a motor on it? The Indian motorcycle for the NYC police department was early nineteen hundreds, before Harley-Davidson. Like the ferris wheel this is something we don't really understand what it was originally used for. I would like to see the factory that produced these hi-wheel thingamajigger. The Narrative of Detroit being a fur trapping Village doesn't jive with the lithographs and layout and the technology we stumbled upon hundreds of years ago. It seems like the cities that have been neglected, and the most and disparaged and ridiculed, are cities like Buffalo, Cleveland, Detroit, Newark, Syracuse, are the cities with the most glorious architecture, coupled with a ridiculous story of origin.

Those tall bone shakers were unsafe at any speed, so, no I will never ride one! Just falling off, caused a great many broken bones! Personally, I believe this evolution of the bicycle narrative to be, more of The Swamps B.S.! There are depictions of almost modern bicycles carved on old Indian temples as pointed out by Praveen!

Thank you Jarid, for your hard work bringing us interesting thoughts. Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't a tire the thing that goes around a wheel, like the glas in a window?

My kids first bikes are balance-bike with regular metal frame. I saw a wooden version called a "drasdiène" or something, the seller told me it's from France. My point is that it seems to sell a lot among kids right now but nothing for taller human on the market.

My gauswheel with seat is one possibility. Also there are some modern day walking bikes but I don’t know specific brands or models. There is also a tricycle, the Alinker I believe, but it costs a fortune.
