1. the Black Hawks won the 1938 cup on home ice 2. It was actually Alec Martinez who scored the goal that beat the Hawks in the 2014 WCF but still great vid as always :)

Potter2010Fan Sucks too because that overtime goal cost the Hawks another cup. The Rangers were a sitting duck for the WCF winner.

Thanks for the insight provided in this video. They won the Cup at home in 1938 as well, so 2015 wasn't the first time. Also it was Martinez who scored the game 7 ot winner for Los Angeles in 2014. Gaborik scored to tie the game sending it to overtime.

GO BLACKHAWKS GO! Such a great team. Won 3 times since I was born. I remember seeing the 2015 Stanley Cup finals. I was so happy when they won. They deserved to win in the 3 years in the 2010s. 2010, 2013 and 2015.

I've been a fan since the 91-92 season when the Pens swept them. Wore my Chelios Jersey in pride during the decade of darkness when everyone made fun of me. Watched them win 3 cups.

Im brand new to hockey. In indiana basketball and football are dominant. I love the colts but felt like i needed to branch out into other sports. I chose the blackhawks as my hockey team because of their lineage and their somewhat closeness to indiana since indy obviously doesn’t have their own team. Im glad i chose this team everything about the blackhawks is awesome!

The Blackhawks did win the Stanley Cup at home in 1934, so 2015 was the second time they won the Cup at home. Also, the 2004-05 Season was cancelled due to Bettman and the Owners locking the Players out. It wasn't Labor trouble, it was Management trouble.

Can't understand why there's no mention of the swift-skating Bentley brothers, Doug and Max who were among the top five or six best players in the NHL in the 40's. Along with anotherspeedster, Bill Mosienko, they made up the famous Pony Line, arguably the fastest skating line in the history of the game.

You need to do your homework. First off, Charlie Gardiner did not die of a brain tumor. He died of a brain hemorrhage due to a long-untreated bout with tonsillitis which went septic. Secondly, the Hawks won their second Cup in 1938 on home ice, not on the road.

Thanks for the clarification. Just because facts were wrong though, doesn't mean we didn't "do our homework". It's possible where Brent did his homework just had the wrong information.

@@Post2Post Look, I didn't get nasty and call anybody names, but there are errors in the presentation. And when the facts are fairly researchable, it means exactly what I said. You simply didn't do your homework. Sorry you're offended, but the truth is the truth. And just so we're clear: Alec Martinez, not Martin Gaborik, scored the winning goal in Game 7 in 2014 against the Hawks.

@@blackhawkswincup2010 I wasn't offended in any way. I don't see how my reply could have come across as offended. I replied very respectfully and explained a possible reason. Brent did do his research, but obviously wherever he looked had incorrect information. He didn't talk about it off the top of his head, which is good. People make mistakes, it's fine. I'm not offended, Brent isn't offended.

Hawks! Compared to the Montreal Canadiens their history is on the opposite side of the spectrum. Some really bad seasons and the way Norris took their best players for Detroit. Trading Phil Espo and Ken Hodge sure was a mistake.
