I bought two i have one with broken hinges but the screen and the speakers worked well then got one with a fuzzy yellow screen. I took it to a computer store and they fix it so its brand new now. The one with the broken hinges I just use that one as a second display for my PS2 slim with the AV in connectors I bought in Amazon for 8 dollars.
Dont try to move the PSone while having the CD inside it just stops working so taking it for roadtrips is a bit of a bad idea i just play my PSone at home with the screen which looks great for almost a 20 year old screen
That might be a problem with your console. I have mine and use it all the time for car rides with the adapter. Granted, sometimes moving it will stop the background music to a level but I have never experienced a game not working because of it.
Is it possible to use the LCD US or JP region with Pal PSOne, I live in middle east and we use UK power supply as a standard here and with softmod its possible to play 60hz games now but I was wondering the lcd screen region frequency 50/60hz and power supply if its compatible with other regions of PSones ?
I tried playing a PAL region game through a US region LCD and PSone. The screen doesn't support PAL output. You get a scrolling screen. You can still hook it up to a TV that supports it or whatever, but the little LCD won't. I'm going to guess the opposite is true with the PAL LCDs, where it'll support PAL outputs but not NTSC. Someone will have to try it and let us know.
It's so painful knowing that modders are running these out of extinction, I'm scared of using mine cause opening and closing it feels like I'm going to break the hinges they feel so tight just to open
I never saw the point in owning one of these, especially when it pulls power directly from the console and results in low fps. Playing on a crt was the way to go.
The picture quality is the best I’ve ever seen on a ps1 between upscaling it to a flat screen, a tube tv, and this lcd screen the attachable lcd looks the most vibrant color and most clear of anything. As long as you’re sitting close enough it’s the best I’ve ever seen a PS1 look
