2:09 well that is interesting beyond my comprehension, it feels like one of the answers to the spooky episodes of the classic series! on another note, the scottish twins themes is one of those pieces that never fails to make me smile.

It was the episodes with these twins really made me appreciate George Carlin's narration. While the camera work made it clear which character was talking, Carlin's ability to contribute different voices gave the engines even more depth and uniqueness.

When Donald and Douglas were recreated for the CGI series, pictures of the CR 812 class were also used resulting in the CGI models having an almost accurate cab, correct funnel and an added step in the middle of the running board. I congratulate Arc for getting the twins close to what the Rev saw them as, pure Caledonian 812s.

Definatley looking forward to seeing Lady.

Donald and Douglas are my favorite twin engines in Thomas and friends I love how they were portrayed by both Ringo Starr and the late Michel Angelis in the Uk narration’s of the classic model series and I love their beautiful theme music my favorite quote is from the episode Bad day at Castle Loch season seven: Lord Callan“ their a splendid pair of engines” and very useful added the Fat controller” arc aye agreed the twins”👍❤️🚂

are you thinking of getting Donald and Douggie for your railway? if so you getting the Bachmann Thomas or are you gonna get the pricier normal 812 when that comes out? all 3 are pretty and tbh I am gonna splurge out a bit more to get the later one myself :-)

Donuld and Douglas are the most popular engine in the railway and I love to see them on screen! But even with this history video you still forgot one thing........THEIR NEW WHISTES! When the CGI Models were made they gave the twins new whistles because I guess they sounded a lot like Duck's and Oliver's but that didn't happen untill a few seasons later after SLOTLT (Sodor Legdend of the Lost Treasure).

Who can hate these two amazing characters. I would love to see the modeled twins with there cgi whistles and theme song. The cgi whistles sound so perfect and their theme song is more Scottish sounding. I love Donald and Douglas

I personally think the TV series models look a lot like a Lancashire & Yorkshire Class 28, the engine that is supposedly James's prototype. In that vein, the Twins look more like James's prototype than James does.
