00:18 what does not "it was nothing up here" means ? I'm not a native speaker and for me it sounds kinda weird in this sentence. I'm french and for me it sounds like there's something missing after the word "here"... Not saying that there is something missing but yeah I don't quite get it X)
"Up here" is referring to 1 Times Square, the new headquarters for the NY Times. What it means is that there was nothing important "up here" (around 1 Times Square) where the new headquarters was located. There were a ton of saloons and brothels there, apparently. But all the big businesses would be located downtown or in Brooklyn.
