I wasn't even aware this was a thing back then and I played and owned most of the GBA games. It wasn't until I had consistent internet and a working computer around 2007 when I saw that pokemon worlds was even a thing let alone worlds for YGO. I sometimes wonder how much bigger things like this would have been if info on these tournaments was more widely available at the time.
Bro, I cannot begin to tell you how enamored I am with this video. Sadly, a lot of archival stuff of Yugioh's competitive early history is lost behind old forums and JP posts. Chads like you putting it into videos like these make me week. Keep up the awesome work man.
If there was going ever going to be a video on this topic, I'm glad you made it. I've watched your videos especially on Championship 2006. Your channel is one of the hidden gems that still exists on this platform.
Hello there I just finished your video on romhacking and was wondering how hard would it be to romhack speed duela into yugioh ultimate masters (minus the ability cards if it’s to complex to add them)
and no of the games is yet in nintendo onlien service saddly. t would be so cool if they put them on nintendo online and u can play them online against other players
Are you able to ROM Hack WTC 2004? It was my childhood game but it's so limited in it's options with the CPU's mostly using the same(banned and strong) cards
I know the guy who got second place losing to Francois Ferry in 2003. You said a user called "yu-gi-oh shadow kingdom" uploaded video from the GBA competition. I can't find it, could you direct me to it? I wanna see my buddy getting wrecked. And if you have any questions I can forward them along.
Just wanna say I knew Pere personally. He was a tryhard in the good sense of the word and usually won most locals, and will often go to the YGO major events every year with some others.
As always, excellent content Busta! :D Had no idea there was a fork of Trials to Glory for tournament use! Learning something new everyday with your docu-series.
Hey I love to see the part 2 of this series the ds games are my favorite and yes I have the gba games but I don't have every yugioh gba games as I do with the ds except for ds world championship 2009
I did! I still have it too. During World's I brought my own cable because I was worried that they wouldn't have one with the Game Boy Micro connector, and it turned out that that was 100% the case.
Hey scrubdude, I was imagining doing a challenge run in either 7 trials to glory or UM2006 where you can only use cards that you get from passwords (either slowly replacing your starter deck or adding to the card pool including your starter deck). Any good ideas jump to mind what you would prioritize or should I just look up whatever meta deck I can make in the game and use that
It's interesting to watch this, i was aware of esports yugioh back in the ds days cause a lot of the ghosts based on real duelists had real meta decks (and a few hacked 5 card deck exodia ones). Was a fun time that master duel doesn't really capture
Great video! I always loved all GBA Yugioh games, good to know there was actual tournaments around them. A bit off topic, but i wanted to ask just in case, would you have by any chance the Instruction Manual of Duel Academy? I tried to search a Digitied version of it or a PDF but i had no luck finding one.
