It feels pretty strange to not be in Maine anymore! After a stressful trip out of New England and finding a major issue with one of our tires at 2am in the morning on the side of the road (check that out in our last episode if you missed it: • WHAT NOW? | LOOKS LIKE... ), we arrived back to the Grand Design campground and decided to get the rig weighed just to make sure we were still within specs. The good news is we are even a little lighter than last time we weighed and are still under weight.
We arrived in Elkhart just in time for Grand Design’s 2nd Annual Christmas in July “Stuff the Mo” toy drive with Toys for Tots! It was a wonderful day supporting the Grand Design Impact Team, and we successfully stuffed the Mo tip to tail with 28 boxes of toys and 8 bikes!
This trip to Elkhart also included some great meetings about the new RV we are designing with Grand Design, and we can’t wait to keep you guys updated on the progress throughout the rest of this year!
It is finally time to head OUT WEST! Summer 2.0 begins as we leave Elkhart and head toward the Mississippi! We make a quick stop outside of Chicago to see Corey’s sister and her family at his favorite restaurant: Outback Steakhouse!
The night wraps up with us staying at a casino for the very first time, and Corey shares how excited he is about a new toy that we should have gotten a LONG time ago.
