By popular demand, the neat, medievalist song from the Hobbit. This arrangement interpreted for solo piano, and dedicated to Gandalf :). You may notice my webmaster is in America, woohoo!
To those who are looking for sheet music; this was an improvised arrangement off some rhythmically incorrect sheets that I found on the net. Sorry about that-- maybe someone on the forums will decide to transcribe it, until then, all we can do is wait. Thanks for watching my video, though :)

I respectfully disagree with you RegdarD, only because this is an "arrangement" not a cover. I admire Kyle for his unique take on every song he arranges. He makes it unique in his own way without conforming to what it's "supposed to be". Great job Kyle, you inspire me with every video!

Even better is the condemning of criticism. You never progress if you're never told, when you're wrong. He doesn't have to be an accomplished pianist to have an opinion on the matter, nor will it make him any more right or wrong to be so. He has a valid point, which he phrases politely, and expresses, because he likes Kyle's work. One should not discourage such an act.

XenoPlayer42 In this instance, it would be 'further'. Assuming this is American English, 'farther' refers strictly to physical distance, whereas 'further' can refer to physical distance, but generally is used for abstract 'distance', such as time. If it's British English, which it isn't, then 'farther' isn't used at all.

I started to fall in love with the Piano music by watching Yanni, Peter buka, vkgoeswild and some tracks of Jacobs piano. I randomly started listening to your interstellar theme on ytmusic and instantly fell in love with it and wondered why do I not know this artist. GREAT playing, seriously fantastic. But this is the eighth piano version of this song I've seen where there's an overabundance of successions of rapid sixteenth notes.. More notes doesn't mean better (LOL, I feel like Salieri talking to Mozart about his Magic Flute in "Amadeus" XD) And you internet people, don't take this to mean I think kylelandry is bad; i couldn't play like him even if I practiced every hour every day, he's an amazing artist. I am merely stating my opinion about the many piano versions of this song using the rapid sixteenth note successions.

kerbalastronomer99 Oh, I play piano, clarinet, and tenor saxophone (as well as a few other woodwinds. :)) I don't know about expertise.. But I do play in paid concerts from time to time and I've studied music theory since I was young. And don't misunderstand please, I'm not saying this version is bad in any way, i just searched for "misty mountains piano version" and this was the 7th or 8th link I clicked and it had the same "rapid pattern" of notes. I just felt like commenting on it, that's all. :)

I myself think it makes a good contrast between the slower, more touching parts and the parts that you could see as the 'epic scenery screentime' background music. I rather like it, actually. It's just that if I ever want to learn this, it will take ages...

I love it when people tell other people what to do, when it's their piano, their channel. I hope you are paying Kyle to satisfy you everytime he does a video, because it would really suck to critize a person who does videos out of passion & shares it with the world. I would have to disagree with you, and please don't take this as fandom for Kyle or general rudeness. I very clearly was able to make out and hear the original song through Kyle's interpretation. He kept the melody intact and made a very energetic variation on how he played around with it. One thing about Kyle is that he has incredible technique and it shows as he plays. If you want to hear a toned back song, there are plenty of covers on RU-vid of just that. I enjoy the "Kyle" versions.

woow !! I know someone in my college who is the spitting image of you. He isn't a musician but he spends all his time playing magic the gathering. I would say he plays cards as good as you play piano and... he's one of the greatest champions I have ever seen.

I absolutely love your work kyle, you have truly inspired me to pursue music production. But I think you failed to capture the true sadness of this piece. Raising the pieces pitch by 2 octaves not only causes the song to lose its deep feeling, but also it's connection to great sadness. But hey, this is just my opinion.

after watching your video's for years I finally got a keyboard with weighted keys. Now only 20 years of practice. so by the time I am 60 might be able to play half as good as this.
