I remember sitting in the cinema at the end of hobbit everyone walking out, me just sitting there enjoying the song!

I will never understand how this didn’t even get at least nominated for Best Original Song at the Oscars.

My dad and I saw THE HOBBIT in the theater. He was never one for these types of movies, but he came anyway. I remember this song at the end during credits. It was beautiful. My dad passed away in 2017. I will always cherish the memory I had with him that day.

I don't know about anyone else but... for me, this is one of the best songs ever written for a movie track. Every lyric is about the movie and so captured the mood while still leaving you wondering about the next movie. Just fantastic and easily one of my favorites. Last time I was this moved by a song so perfect for a movie was Queen and The Highlander movie.

The goosebumps I felt in 2014 is still the same in the year 2022. Fell in love with Ed Sheeran first with this song. I just can't imagine it has been 8 years already since he first released this song. I'm enjoying this so much!!!

‘the hobbit’ trilogy is one of my comfort movie series. it was wonderfully done and has gotten me through a tough time right now. And i listen to this so on repeat for at least and hour at least once a week. this song perfectly explains how much the dwarves are willing to risk to take back their home.
