Good thing about being gen x is we got to experience so many generations of music . I love the 80s the most but there are a few 70s song that i love too .
Wasn't very interested in the 60s . I was born in 75 grew up in the 80s and 90s and experienced a world that's not available today to these children. It was a great time to grow up . 60s was a little to far back for me .
@@tinabuckallew1589 I was born in 1959 and had father who loved the big band era. We listened to Glenn Miller on Sundays quite regularly, not to mention other greats of the time.
I waz 11 in 1972 lol wooow the time FLEW. I was a 70s kid and had so much fun Growing up in Kodiak Alaske the fishing capitalof the world in the 60s and 70s
Saturday night I was downtown Working for the FBI Sitting in a nest of bad men Whiskey bottles piling high Bootlegging boozer on the west side Full of people who are doing wrong Just about to call up the D.A. man When I heard this woman singing a song A pair of forty fives made me open my eyes My temperature started to rise She was a long cool woman in a black dress Just a 5'9" beautiful 'n' tall Just one look I was a bad mess 'Cause that long cool woman had it all I saw her heading to the table Well, a tall walking big black cat Charlie said, I hope that you're able, boy 'Cause I'm telling you she knows where it's at Well, suddenly we hear the sirens And everybody started to run Jumping under doors and tables Well, I heard somebody shooting a gun Well, the D.A. was pumping my left hand She was holding my right Well, I told her, don't get scared 'Cause you're gonna be spared I've gotta be forgiven if I wanna spend my living With a long cool woman in a black dress Just a 5'9" beautiful 'n' tall Well with just one look I was a bad mess 'Cause that long cool woman had it all Had it all, had it all, had it all Had it all, had it all, had it all (she had it all)
I never could understand most of this songs lyrics! It sounded very cool playing on my auto reverse cassette player from Radio Shack!! My favorite album is on CD everyday in the Geo Storm. "Distant Light" album. Was more fun in the Olds 442 in the early 70's🎉. Miss that car!!

@@c.rogers4394 Fuxking Unreal! And I never hear the Tune on any my claim to be "Rock n Roll" Stations here in NE WY. CopyRight or Stupidity? Hard to Say! "Get it On!". I'll contact the "loco" Rock n Roll Station because this Tune is a Jewel! Have a Good Evening my Friend.
Какой голос, музыка, песня супер! Жаль, что впервые я её услышала только 5 лет назад. Текст песни поразил. Обычно поют о любви, цветах... А тут " агент под прикрытием"). Превосходно!!
@@DBVintage The right band, right voice and the right time. Well at least there's a lot of young people who appreciate the "older" songs. It says a lot when you consider that The Beatles are still the most downloaded musicians to date. Followed by The King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
So copied, Get It On! Hollies we will love you 😍. Hackney LONDON E8! Get it on... Shakermaker , OASIS.. Led Zep Immigrant Song... Bus Stop 🚏 UK 🇬🇧 LONDON
I'm 75 and searched for " he aint heavy " as my brother died recently then this song popped up - by the Hollies ?. Always loved this foot tapping classic and like you, always thought I was listening to ccwr. Now listened to it about ten times in a row, and probably do the same on a regular basis from now on. lol.
