WOW What a fantastic version of a most wonderful song ,,,i love these guys so much ,, what voices and harmonies they have ,,,,long live the 60s era We were their lol x
Oh my god. This is so brilliant. It’s the greatest version I’ve seen. Bless the band with love and happiness. I was born in 1998, Thailand and really love western tunes. Now, this song is on my top list. ❤❤❤❤
@@fangirl4444 love the Hollies, but the charts don't lie: supremes version went to No. 1, Hollies version went to No. 29. They also made too many changes to the H-D-H lyrics
@@Marcel_Audubon Sorry, but I don’t give a shit. I don’t care about the charts because I really love this version. If respecting other people’s opinion is hard for you to do, you should go and love yourself.
@@janedalyn6163 wasn't talking to you, was I, sweetie? - reading comprehension problems? p.s. talking like a vulgar, unbathed trucker doesn't get your point across any more forcefully, it just makes you seem coarse
Me Poupem!!!!!!
jUST VIEWED GRAHAM NASH'S BIO. THIS BIO SHOWS THEIR BEGINNINGS. THE POVERTY. THEY NEVER GAVE UP. THAT'S WHY THEY DESERVED THE FAME. THEIR MUSIC IS MEMORABLE BECAUSE IT WAS REAL. I'M HAPPY THEY FOUND THEIR STARDOM, A DESERVING BAND IF EVER THERE WAS. TONY HICKS IS AN UNASSUMING GUITARIST WHO SHINES ALONG W/ GRAHAM NASH. ALLAN CLARK & BOB ELLIOT MAKE THEM ALL SHINE . YES, THE HOLLIES ARE ONE GREAT BAND.
@@maureenmcgovern6119 underrated? Oh, sweetie, stop with that overused, under informed comment. They sold millions and millions of records, how exactly is that underrated?
Allan Clarke was pretty much the saving grace of the 1983 Hollies reunion with Graham Nash who was suprisingly unmotivated and seemed disinterested from the get go.
@@ijeff2005 He was having too much of a "high life" in Laurel Canyon. So performing with his best bud from the time he knew him at the age of six and the group he started with and formed deemed possibly he was wasting his time in coming back for a second encore. They sound great here like back in the 60s. As they say "you can never go back". Truly a shame they didn't stay together. California dreamin' became a realty for Nash.
Sorry to disagree, because I'm a huge Hollies and Allan Clarke fan (if I could change my singing voice to anyone, I would want to sound like Allan Clarke), but I didn't like this when it came out, and, really, it's just the boys phoning it in.
Saw the Hollies on this reunion tour in 1983 in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Had seats in the second row right in front of Nash (my closest concert seats ever). Just last week I was going though some boxes from the attic and found my Hollies tour t-shirt I bought at the show that night. Great band, show and memories.
Stop in the name of love. Tenho no meu toque musical do celular. Voce conhece de Classicos um abraço. 💿
the song should have been a much bigger hit here in the united states but sadly it never got a lot of airplay back in 1983 even the song did reached #29 on the USA Billboard Hot 100 Charts And The Pop Charts Too.
Excellent version of the song by the Hollies. Tony is impeccably dressed. Allan and Graham's outfits in contrast look ...? I'm speechless... Thanks for sharing.
I remember. I was twelve and I was inside my stepfather's car when I heard that song for the very first time in the 80's. I feel a litle bit sad about it, maybe because the years has passed so quicly.
