@@sherifhanna First and for most, the Israeli Police and none Christians verify prior to the holy fire that there is no body inside the tome. Second, the only person gets inside the tome is the Patriarch of the Greek Orthodox. So, the priest that has been interviewed in your link is not a Patriarch. Probably, he entered in other days, and lit the candles for prayers and so on. The evidence for your argument does not hold water.

@@Ortho_1_Christ please, please listen to what he said in detail. He describes the whole ceremony. He enters with the lit oil lamp AFTER the wax seal is removed. He is the archbishop in charge of the Sepulchre's vessels.

How you would explain the bluish white flashes people saw and testified to it ? And its also recorded on video ?? How you would explain the self ignition of some candles in the hands of some of the crowd inside the Holy Sepulchre or outside ? Have u read anything about the history of this event ? Because before the 15th century , NOBODY was inside the Tomb to recieve the Holy Light (unlike today) .... and the edicule was of different structure and design that allowed the people to see the tomb from outside through windows and grille , we knew this from the account of Daniel the abbot circa 1105-07 , and the Crusaders accounts as well as drawings of the Edicule before its renovation to today's structure (1809 AD). So if u want to hold firm to a testimony by a Greek clergy of unbelievers , u should at least explain to us all of these stuff that i said ....

@@amakrid There have been occasions in the past when other patriarchs have tried it, like on one ocassion the patriarch of the Armenian apostolic Church attempted the miracle, but it did not work.

@@siddharthabanerjee6155 My friend, this ritual was initiated by the Roman Catholics, who dominated the Patriarchate during the times of the Crusaders. And the Church was already split by then. As for the Armenians, it is a custom every year to fight to enter into the tomb first, and the police keeps them out. If this narrative was entirely true, why would they do it? The Patriarchate has erased the world "miracle" from every official document, and high officials of the Patriarchate have admitted on camera that the torch is ignited by a "non sleeping" candle that rests inside the tomb. The fire is considered "holy" because the Patriarch blesses it afterwards, the way he blesses the water etc.. It is a very bitter story and the Patriarchate already faces quite a lot of blackmailing in this very troubled corner of the world. It doesn't need additional, in order to be left to continue to present a physical act as miraculous. This is - with all the due respect to you and the Orthodox brethren around the world - my own opinion.

@@christfollower5713 Then, tell the Patriarch to perform the rite as it was performed before the 15h century. Simple. There will be a problem though: The Patriarchate itself doesn't claim that the Holy Fire is a miracle, it has erased the word "miracle" from its official documents and it has explained through high rank Bishops on camera how the candle is lit naturaly. Even officials of the Constantinople Ecumenical Patriarchate has long ago confessed that this is not a miracle. These people are not sceptics - these people are the leaders of the Church. As for the old days my friend, the fact that the Patriarch was holding a key before opening the tomb in order to show that it was sealed, doesn't mean that the ceremony was performed as a scientific experiment. It wasn't and it shouldn't be. The ceremony of the Holy Fire is a beautiful and hopeful rite like the many ceremonies of the Eastern Apostolic Church. It is not a miracle though. There are no "institutional" natural miracles in this world who happen once every year in an expected date.

They do ...there is much proof through videos and testimonies I know people that have been there ...plus even scientists measured the temperature when it came out it barely burns they were astonishined ...it only starts to burn after 33 minutes...goes to not burning to over 300 degrees only after the 33 minutes...there are also other miracles that happen at the Church...like many hearing Christ being flogged, the nails hammered into his hands, you can hear his moaning and pain...also holy myrrh comes out of the stone where they laid his body...there are many miracles that happen but most people from denominations in the USA and other places don't know about them...simply because they don't study the Christian faith history....Most people don't even know that the Apostles bodies holy remains exist in Orthodox Christian Churches and some Catholic..You can even visit the cave where John lived on the Island of Patmos in Greece where he received the Apocalypsis ...Our Orthodox faith is blessed...Be well and God Bless☦️

There are many miracles that happen there but most Christians from a few parts of the world dont know because they dont follow the first faith ...even blood and myrrh coming out of the stone they laid our Lords body...you can even hear him being flogged, his pain ,chains and the nails being put into his hand and feet

Things that stage magicians perform today, were performed by priests and mages in the past to keep the people under their influence and control. You can create a self-lighting candle - there are even RU-vid videos showing you the way. You can produce a flame that doesn't burn - there are even RU-vid videos showing you the way. You can even make a torch burn under water. It has been done 2000 years ago and has been historically recorded by a credible Roman historian like Livy, in his History of Rome 39:12. In the end, if you choose to believe that only the "Holy Fire" in Jerusalem is a miracle, I cannot nor wish to change your mind by force. It is your right. I have to inform you for the rest though. Truth liberates; it doesn't entrap people into a faith through the use of phenomena.
