I honestly think it was best they left the dog. They knew it would be found and they obviously weren't capable of providing the life it needs. A lot of places that take animals charge a fee. I hope the dog has a much better life now.

The mop was a disinfectant solution I believe as there had been dog crap and saliva all over the place. It was to sanitise not to clean. It'll be getting mopped in one of those solutions hospitals or vets surgeries use.

They usually disinfect so there's no more bacteria for the decorators or anyone else that comes after to fix the flat. I'd imagine that they'd rip out the floor and put a new one down, they've got no issue replacing whole kitchens or carpets so it's not a stretch that they'd replace this to

You can literally see debris being pushed around with the soapy water, so it's not going to be sanitary with filthy bits being pushed around and then left regardless of the strength of cleaners. Needs scrubbed with a stiff brush top to bottom, wiped with disposable towels then mopped with disinfectant.
