Great review. This answered all of my questions and I just bought two of these. I'm loving it. Update: 7:17 Mysa has added oscillation control. On the Mysa app, there's now 3 buttons exposed here 5:42; Power (which access the modes as shown in video), Fan (for fan speed control) and Swing (which toggles between oscillation and static modes). You can see it in this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JfGocOWiNoo.html
I don’t know the particular AC model you refer to, but it should work with almost any AC as long as the original AC remote has the basic functions in a display, like temperature, mode, and fan speed options. I’m not sure what the Kumo upgrade is, sorry.
I only say that as many people assume North America is the same as the United States, which it’s not. North America is a continent, which Canada is a part of.
Nice video!! I have the Aqara ac p3 wich I saw in a previous video you made!! I only have problem when I turn off the ac with the original remote I still see the ac as turned on in Aqara and apple home app!
The P3 should be able to receive the signal from the original remote, so that it stays in sync, but the trick is to make sure that the P3 is in the same line of sight as the AC.
Hi, if tiles are separated, is it possible to set the AC unit to FAN only mode (no heating or cooling) via the FAN tile and control its speed in Homekit?
Hi, unfortunately even though you can separate the tiles, they’re still connected to each other. So, if you turn the fan on, the AC turns on, and if you turn the AC off, the fan also turns off.
I will absolutely be looking into these for our wall units. The sensibo air seemed like the best option but this device having more features and a lower price is a WIN
If you’re in North America, then the Mysa, but if you’re in Europe, then the Tado may be an easier option to purchase. The Sensibo is decent enough, but for the money it’s not as good value as the other two in my opinion, due to the lack of a physical interface.
Thanks for the support. I know another content creator in Mexico, and he often has to work harder to get some smart home gadgets in Mexico, but hopefully at least one of these three is available. They all do a decent job.
@@homekitnews I live in Canada and both Sensibo Air and Mysa are at 115 CAD$. You're the only one I found that tested both of them. Which one do you recommend if they are at the same price ? Note: I already have 3 Mysa Smart Thermostats for electric baseboards and I like the devices but I don't like the Mysa app for iPhone. I'm looking for a good reason to choose between Mysa and Sensibo. They both have HomeKit. I know that Mysa offers temperature AND fan control from the HomeKit menu (only temperature for the Sensibo controller). You're doing a really good job with your videos
