Another great review, thanks Jedwa...er, Mark. Seriously though, is the problem with the CLS at least in part caused by the fact that the E-Class has become increasingly "sporty" looking? The current W213 is miles removed from the upright formality of the first E-Class, the W124. The CLS is just about as extreme as it can be without seriously harming its practicality (and it should have a hatchback), so it's the E-Class that needs to return to its roots to make room for both. M-B UK could start by making the "proper" grille available to UK E-Class buyers, as it is in Continental Europe.

I completely agree, on the outside the CLS is nowhere near as distinctive as it one was. Shame as the cabin is awesome.

Yes, Merc made CLS more generic this time. But, more important, they still made it look elegantly fluent. Even more important, they made it svelte and responsive and fast and fun and... And your video Mark... honest, funny, entertaining, hilarious, sincere... Generic, as well !
