What is it really like to live with a pro athlete? This is the question everyone was asking right....? Well, I've answered it anyway. There are so many pros of living with a pro athlete that I obviously couldn't fit all of them in this video but there are also some quite large cons as well that can be difficult for the partners of pros. I hope you enjoy my take on this!

You know you could convert “10k” subscribes to 6.2 “miles” and badda boom badda bing-you’re already over the finish line at 6.5k subscribers! 😉

Just wondered what distances he is going to do when he gets to 20,000, 50,000 and 100,000 subs!!

@tonyuk928 how about 50Km at 20K, 50mi at 50K, and 100Km at 100K subs.

Recent sub here (to both channels). Can we just take a moment to see a man supporting - actually *uplifting* - a woman in his life with no hint of ego because he recognises what a powerhouse she is? Great to see this kind of honesty.

Yes that is a very good angle. Pro athlete partner. It applies to anyone that is a partner to someone that is pursuing a lofty goal.

Thank you for sharing! My boyfriend was a student rower on a high level in the first 2 years we have been toghether (he is a coach in rowing now). He trained around 10 times per week most times and I had most of the experiences you had (guilt, explaining to family why he would not come to an event, bedtime..) . I think it made our relationship better because we had to learn how to communicate very soon 😂😊 He paced me in my first half Marathon (without running a lot before haha) and people shouted at him to go faster because he made it look so easy😂

Tbh I think my husband feels this a lot living with me. I'm not as much of an athlete (though I did run a half marathon recently!) but I'm a medical student. He sacrifices so much and supports me so much (also making most of the food and doing a lot of the stuff behind the scenes to keep the doggies and house running) and speaking as the supported partner, thank you so much for all you do

I love this insight, Daniel. Every successful athlete thanks their support network, partner, friends, etc., but we very rarely get to hear the latter's perspective. Awesome work!

Philly is very lucky to have you Daniel 😊 Id have thought a con was that your training successes could feel a bit less awesome when you are comparing yourself to a professional? in my house I'm the most amazing runner even if I've only done 5km that week!

Daniel, I absolutely love your honesty, your openness and your willingness to play what some people ("blokes") might consider a 'supporting role'. You're not that. You are brilliant at what you do, and being who you are. All power to you, and to Philly. I'll be looking out for that Houston time from Philly. And for that 1/2 marathon time! What is the 'A' goal (as Philly would say)?
@DanielMoves

I can really relate to this, you forgot one major pro though. When she achieves one of her ambitious goals you are not only proud of her, you feel like you´ve been part of that achievement, even for just swapping that nice slice of pizza for a salad or by going to bed early on the day of that great party or concert.

Shout out for cleaning your house before asking friends to pet-sit! I've done quite a bit of pet-sitting in the last 2-3 years and it's sometimes a bit atrocious spending the first 2-3 days in a state of disgust, having to clean everything before you feel okay even touching it, let alone eating off it or sleeping in it.
