The Hood - Book 2, Video 2, Drafting the Hood 

Hi Gila, so all the illustrations in all my manuals are produced using Photoshop and as such are full scale patterns. I don't use any pattern drafting software and in fact such things are no good for hoods. The one drawback with Photoshop is that while it has a ruler for measuring between points this is only for straight lines. When it comes to curves one has to improvise either using straight line measurements in small increments or by rolling the curved edge along a straight edge. As said that is the only painful aspect otherwise everything else is highly flexible and relatively easy using such things as the pen tool.
