R.I.P. young Nathan Kistler. He and his wife Amber Nelon Kistler (and several others) perished in a Wyoming plane crash on July 26, 2024. Nathan is the youngest man (blue blazer, wearing glasses) in the group. He had a great tenor voice.
I thought that was him!!! The Nelons, back when the group still had Rex, Jerry, and Karen, was probably the first major gospel group I ever heard. This tragedy is one of the saddest days for gospel music!!!
When you don't drink, smoke or do drugs and you bring up the kids in a Christian home , life can be a lot less stressful. I wish I'd learned that a lot sooner.

@@pinkiesue849 Very much so, I started 11 years ago and would never go back. Made many many mistakes I regret bitterly. Walking with the Lord is the best life by far.

Not only did I have the joy of seeing The Hoppers live last night I also had the pleasure of meeting them and had my photo made with Kim, Karlye and Claude. Great singers and very sweet down to earth people.
Kim's daughter is beautiful as always. If all you got to complain about keep your negative thoughts to yourself. Her lipstick is dark but it's one of my favorite shades. I wear dark color's my lips my business. When I was picking my color's and didn't take a survey or a vote. And I'm sure the daughter didn't either. Her lips , her color. The family is full of talent. Love listening to their singing.

This is NOTHING compared to when they sang it on the "Atlantic Homecoming" video (for one thing it was over 8 minutes long), but you should have seen her on THAT video!!!
@@BecauseHeLives39 At our church in The Netherlands, using typical contemporary Christians songs and one hymn per week, we got four of us together and put together one Southern Gospel song. What a gigantic reaction we got!
That's Nathan Kistler next to Kim at the beginning. He was with the group for several months last year and into this year. He originally began as a fill-in at the alto spot during Connie's treatment for cancer and stayed on for a while after her return to the group. They were also joined by Matt Griffith (long beard). The rest of the group is all Hopper family members.
This is not the same group I use to know. What has happened? I am not impressed and very disappointed. The Collingsworth family is now my favorite group.

The Kingsmen Quartet use to sing a song about folks just like you It was called if there's nobody saved but me, perhaps you should give it a listen.
I'm not very religious and I just happened to see them on Southern Gospel, Mr Gaithers show on WTCI 21 July 6pm. I watched the entire show. I was very moved by their singing. Then I come on here and read these comments. Shoutin time in heaven was my favorite song
I do hear instruments that aren't on stage with them. So unless there's an orchestra in the pit below they are possibly singing to an instrumental track. But I believe they are singing live.
