I would like to point out canonically Zoro has spent more time with Perona than with any of his crewmates. I mean technically everyone spent more time with their time skip mentors, but Zoro is the only one to spend time with previous adversaries: Perona and Mihawk. Zoro probably knows Perona better than he does Luffy.

Well, I think kaido is more like saitama in that sense. He is all negative because nobody can beat him. Having negative feelings doesn't equal being suicidal 🤔

@@Svvicu oh you didn't understand what I was talking about, the op said kaido is immune to the negative hollows because he is suicidal. But him trying to commit suicide was kinda like a challenge so that doesn't mean he has negative feelings in that regard. Similar to how saitama is looking for a challenge because nothing can kill him. That's the way oda introduced kaido to us (I believe it was in the dressrose arc).

Always loved that Perona and Enel shared the exact same camera swinging around their character only to reveal a hyperbolic shocked face when someone was revealed to be immune to their DF powers. Perona vs Usopp is a great fight, I like to call it “The Battle of Bluffs”. It’s nice that Usopp uses his cleverness to defeat his opponents rather than the norm of winning through sheer will power and growing stronger through adversity.

You pointed out that, when the negative hollows pass through someone who is already negative, it can leave the hollows in a state of depression, but that wasn't the only effect. It also left Perona herself in a state of debilitating depression, meaning the effect is apparently passed on to the user of the Horo Horo no Mi. With that in mind, anyone using this fruit might be wise to carefully consider who they're using this ability against before doing so.

You're all talking about how Kaido would be immune. I don't think so. 1.) If Kaido was really suicidal, he could have jumped into the ocean. Or picked a fight with Whitebeard and Shanks at the same time. 2.) Usopp is not suicidal. He think's he's worthless. Powerless. A coward. Not worthy. Those are the feelings that crippled Luffy and Zoro. Those are the feelings that Usopp fights through every day. Does Kaido think he's worthless? Powerless? A coward? I don't think so.

Perona is a creative user of this fruit, even if she doesn't address the "body left completely defenseless when your spirit leaves your body" weakness very well. Next week, we get to the fruit that gave the Straw Hats serious problems in this arc, both the Monster trio and the future crew musician Brook. Stealing shadows isn't cool, guys; they had a whole episode on it in Jackie Chan Adventures Season 4 with shadow-eating Shadow Khan. Look it up.

I think that Perona gaining flight in her regular body is part of a potential awakening, and further awakening the fruit could allow you to do things like make your body impermanent and be able to float through things like a ghost. Basically everything the fruit could do, but without having to leave your body at risk.

I always thought that a duo of a user of the horo horo fruit and the jake jake fruit would be a neat combination. Wearing the horo-user while they're astral projecting to protect them. Barring the horo-user not being made of glass like Perona, of course. Even then, if the jake-user is smart like Usopp, then it could still work really well having an invincible ghost fighter alongside you.

Everyone has negative feelings, the negative hollows just trigger the feelings. I think it blurres every other feeling out and because of that she doesn't really controls the person but I agree, will is definitely connected to feelings and someone who has control over conquerers haki shouldn't be overwhelmed by his feelings.

I would love to see brook go up against her to see if it is possible if BRook can control those ghosts/souls of hers to render them inert. Wonder if brook will need to help zoro out when he fights Dracule Mihawk at the finale arc. I Think that the’ yomi yomi no mi ‘Vs. the ‘HoRo HoRo no mi’, would be a great scrap and curious who would come out as victorious.

How op this could be for remote fights, cant beat someone? Go to the opposite side of the world, hide there then astral project to them and bombard your enemy with ghosts, op I think awakening might make ghosts which fully controll emotional state of target instead of being limited to negative

Haki negates devil fruit abilities. You can coat your entire body in armament haki. Thus it may be possible to defend against the ghosts will full body haki. I don't see what your problem is.

@@GrandLineReview sorry if i came of a bit too sarcastic, its a common misconception, a lot of people seem to mistake haki for seastone haki allows the user to bypass defenses of a devil fruit for example: logia's and luffy's rubber body but it does NOT negate the fruit itself, if you were to fight sugar and you coat yourself in haki and she touches you then you will still change into a toy if in the same scenario you would hit her with seastone as she touches you then nothing will happen

agreed,, haki never negates DF's power, it's just amplified offense and defense against DF's power.. only sea power like sea stone or sea itself that can only negates DF's power..
