Some people just has a fucked up part in their head lol. They feel and enjoy what the pain comes with. Either attention or they just get sexually turned on by it, there is something they are gaining from it big or small
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I wouldn't be surprised if the Grim Reaper is banging his skull towards a wall whilst shouting "How in the holy mother of FUCK is Steve-O STILL ALIVE?!"
I HAVE to sleep with a heater - ever since I was 12 I’ll be 36 next month (December) and sometimes they break down when they get old and get SUPER HOT! Last year was the worst year for burns for me .. BOTH my legs looked like Steve Os arms here - I had to tape and bandage them up for 2-3 months before they healed up … I’m NOT a Doctor (so this is NOT medical advice) but popping the blisters make them heal wayyy FASTER … over the last almost 25 years - I’ve had burns all over my body, and that’s the best/fastest way I’ve learned to heal up is to pop them and then they turn to scabs - then a lot of neospirin will shave even more days off - but being burnt/having burns is not fun at all- I feel really bad for Steve O here
Here’s a little over share I’m a Marine I went to Iraq and had to do a lot of bad shit I came home and really struggled to assimilate I was always a jackass fan but a buddy of mine got me the book professional idiot The shit in that book about addiction, recovery and the battle that comes with it resonated so heavily that I actually started getting help. I went to rehab, therapy, and AA. I even went and met Steve-O at a convention. Thank you Steve-0 you’re my hero DUDE.
So not only did you willingly serve your country which I think 95% of people would never do, but you’ve also grappled with addiction and mental health (which is something I have experienced and wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy), and you’re STILL fighting? I’m sorry bro but I think YOU’RE the hero here. And there are a LOT of others like you. Even with all of the crazy shit I’ve been through I hear stories like yours and it just inspires me to complain less in my life. I hope you’re doing well and I hope you have a good life, clearly you deserve it.
I think all the endorphins released by all the pain he goes through keeps him young at heart. Dude still looks exactly how he did when he was back on jackass
@@ppmaks668 You think you stay young by using painkillers? Very dumb. You accelerate the aging process. You put your body in a toxic state for hours. It is the same with alcohol. You literally poison your body and by the second you swallow that pill, your body gonna start and try to get rid of it and cleanse the body.
For those that don’t know, bad burns are a really tricky injury and you should get them double and triple checked. Not only can they get worse over time, but your nerve ending can get hurt, meaning that your hurt much worse than you realize even at first.
True. Also burn pain can get reallyyyy painful. Even if you think you have very high pain tolerance dont take it lightly and get it checked right away.
@@cameronkerr5118 With really bad burns the skin can be so badly damaged that it will never heal right, so the treatment is the cut off all of the damaged skin and graft in new transplanted skin for the body to work with. Burns also present a huge infection risk once the blisters pop.
I’m glad he is making bank. The abuse this man had put himself through for others entertainment is amazing. Not to mention the pain he will always carry with him
You realize how idiotic this statement is right? He was sooooo desperate to be famous he maimed himself repeatedly. Dosent mean he's not a good guy now but what example does he set for people?
@@Thiccness_Is_Delicious It's not really setting an example when most people can't, or wouldn't want to copy what he does. It takes a second of critical thinking to ask yourself, "would I do the crazy painful things he does?", of course you wouldn't. That's part of why he is so famous, because he's off the rails. I don't look at Steve-O and say "oh he made it, he's got money, I should batter myself to pieces too", lol. He's just a entertainer on a different level, and that is what the comment you put down is giving praise to. It's not a healthy way to find success, but he's also never touted himself as an example; in fact these shows tell you NOT to do these things, so I don't know where you got the example thing from. Cheers!
As a burn victim , the actual burn hurts a fraction of the after math. I remember being dunked into a salt water bath and the nurse would come in with a nylon brush and scrub the blisters and dead skin off just to promote healing. 3 times a week for 1 hour
Omg a salt water bath?! That sounds so painful on burns. I’m so sorry you went through that. Can I ask how you got burned? If you don’t want to say I totally understand.
@@ExodiaObliderate1 Battlefield nurses put guts back into disemboweled soldiers and regular nurses close ghastly wounds within minutes and resuscitate half-dead people. Not the "nurses" who are actually construction and office workers that googled "how to treat burns" and then lied to Steve-O that they are nurses.
My dad suffered burns just like this from an electrical explosion. 3rd and 2nd degree all over his hands and arms. Even with painkillers and all sorts of drugs he’s still in terrible pain 3 months later. They used his own skin from his thigh to graft skin on his arms. Crazy to know that the pain he’s feeling is on the same level as the worst pain Steve-o has ever experienced.
Fellow burn-victim here. I have grafts on 33% of my body. Im glad your experience went relatively well. For me, it was 4 months in the burn unit, 27 days induced coma, 4 cadaver grafts, 2 my skin grafts, a weird reaction to some blood in a transfusion resulting in cardiac arrest, bilateral collapsed lungs, broken sternum from CPR, and lost about 40 hours of tattoo work. You mentioned a potato peeler for the skin. My 2nd own graft was the skin on the tops of my thighs, from knee to hip, and the tool they use looks and functions exactly like a cheese cutter. 🤙🏽
I had severe burns just like this in the video bubbles and everything and 4 years later my face has healed and so has my arms but my legs still hurt to this day.Are you still in pain at all?
Because, he has experienced pain, and he came past it. pain make you feel alive too. like people who ice bathe. the shock make you forget all the mental shit, and your body will want to survive. Mentally problems comes from people harming you, not the pain.
@@jevenjames yeah there’s no way he’s not lol. But I think the fact that he’s (through the grace of god) recovered from his injuries has given him a more positive outlook on life oddly enough.
As a burn victim, I can relate to this pain. Whenever I was in the hospital they washed me in a bath and wiped the blisters clean off leaving the layer below my original skin. I’m doing good right now and my healings doing well.
I’m wondering, why were the doctors astonished he waited five days and rush him to surgery? What could’ve happened if he didn’t go? It seemed like it was healing, things always get worse before they get better.. but the dark colour seemed like healing
I'm also a burn survivor that's exactly what they did with me at least like myself you survived to tell the tale my accident was when my atv engine blew up my pants caught fire and so did part of my shirt

I’ve been burned pretty much the same areas when I was 12 and can attest that it was the worst pain I ever experienced. I can remember the nurses scrubbing the dead skin off and blacking out due to the pain even though I was all morphine’d up. I’ve broken multiple bones including my neck where I suffered nerve damage and been though an IED attack in Iraq and still being burned at 12 was the worst pain I ever went through.

@@stevewilliams8590 well, you know, I was sitting in my home, with very little chance of being shot at, and still being too dumb to go to college, so ...??
I know Steve-O you will probably not see this but I had to tell you. Although I can't afford to go to and even if I could my boss will not let me off work for that. I want you to know you are a fantastic person. You have endured more pain than I could possibly ever imagine. Steve-O is looking soooo much better and so healthy. I've had friends who went down similar paths and did not turn it around, a couple are no longer with us and were only in their late 20s/early 30s. Having grown up watching his antics it does my heart good to see him doing so well. Also those burns wtf! I would've screamed much louder than that, probably cried and went into a coma.
Steveo. My experience with whip its is worse than yours. I’d like to let people know how bad they are I had to learn to walk again from my experience. Let’s let people know what they can do
What do you mean "hes looking so much better"?.... he's been clean for over a decade, this isn't new but you're saying it like he just got sober 6 months ago lmao.
Burns are no joke. I had an emt tell me not long ago that if you have 3rd degree burns he's more than likely calling in a helicopter to get you to a burn center. None of the local hospitals around my area even have a burn unit. I cannot fathom that none of those nurses or doctors told you to get to a burn unit NOW! Glad everything worked out.
Research shows that a helicopter does not benefit burn patients in the majority of cases unless specific criteria is met. The most common criteria are either the need for fluid resuscitation or a suspected inhalation injury. Fluid resuscitation is normally necessary in burns 15%-20% or greater in adults.
If you get badly burnt on more than just a finger you're better off just sitting in a cold shower until it doesn't hurt anymore, it can take hours if it's a bad one but it stops the damage continuing
I'm glad you survived it, Steve-O, some folks would compromise their immune system with stress-cortisol, catch an infection, get further stressed out, and die. As for the nurses, if they didn't hand off to one another, they wouldn't know your medical history. To them, they all thought "well, this is base line" not "oh shit, it's getting worse and worse". When nurses change shift in ER and ICU, a big part of that is the charting hand-off so they can know the course of care and the current status of the patient, and they can compare over time. Different nurses would only be able to handle what they see immediately in front of them.
Buuuuuut the moment he went to a hospital they freaked out and asked him wtf he'd been doing for 5 days-- that means it was immediately noticeable that his burns were bad enough to justify emergency care. Seems like a medical professional should know what category a burn falls under and what kind of treatment is needed, regardless of whether they see it getting worse and worse. I'm a laymen, and even my first thought was, "Damn, he needs emergency medical care." 🤷♀
@@morissaduke3165 Home care nurses all the time see people who ought to be in a hospital, that's kind of their purpose. And having worked in an ER, "emergency care" is an extremely vast gradient of responses. If I had responded to the call, I would've said that circumferential burns (all the way around a body part) need more than a bandage change. Were they negligent? They did what was in their scope of care, which was a one-day visit, changing a bandage, in the dim light of a hotel room. So, yeah, what happened wasn't okay, they definitely should have said "hospital", but I could understand why it might happen.
I got 3 skin graft surgeries early this year after a bad motorcycle accident and 3 degree burns. No doubt that was the worst pain I ever felt and it’s crazy to hear that’s the worst pain Steve-o has ever felt even with all the craziness he’s went through. I wouldn’t even wish that pain on my worst enemy tho
Jeez the worst pain I’ve went through was when I pulled a muscle in my lower back my pain tolerance is high but still it was horrendous I wouldn’t wish that pain on anyone either I even asked my mom twice if she could take me to the ER which I have never asked her to do for me before and it worried her thankfully the pain almost went away the next day now I’m completely fine
It's because of overbred genes. After a while, when people's ancestors keep it in the family too long, all sorts of things go wrong. One of the first things to go is the production of melanin in the skin. But I digress. His brain wasn't developed enough to be able to make the connection that increased pain from an injury he had never experienced before was most likely something he needed to go get checked out.
I’ve had second degree burns on my leg and it was so painful and awful, I did the same thing he did the pacing and cringing. I can’t imagine having those kinda burns over so much of my body
Same here, worst pain I’ve ever had. I had a hot oil skillet explode and shoot grease all over my right arm. And according to my parents, I probably should’ve went to the ER. It was like no joke, borderline third-degree.
that's brutal man. i remember sitting in science class one time back in school, me and a few friends at the back of the class were messing around with some chemicals (acting like complete dumbasses back then) and i accidently spilled a little bit on my hand, the fucking pain was unreal, 2nd degree burns from the tips of my fingers to the bottom of my palm and was immediately rushed to the hospital
I understand your the pain you went through bro. Im a fire victim that suffered burns 80% of my body. Here I am now walking on prosthetics. Never stop working toward your dreams.
Steveo, it truly makes my heart happy that your doing not only better...but you're STILL ALIVE! You're so precious, and you really have some far out purpose.
From the first instant I saw those blisters, I knew it was going to be the first Steve O video I couldn't finish. I love you, thank you for brightening my days.
This is probably the one scenario I would say tops my story. Had a MRSA infection in my left pointer finger that I didn't get treated for about 3 weeks. The last 3 days I called out of work, couldn't sleep, literally just curled up holding my arm. It got so bad that it fully dislocated the knuckle closest to my hand and after the doctor lanced it and removed the puss you could see both ends of the bone at the joint. It destroyed part of the cartilage and was trying to work its way into the bone. The pain was so intense I could feel it in my collarbone. Its been 6 years and I still cannot bend that finger even to 90 degrees, that knuckle is permanently deformed, and it still hurts in freezing temps. 3rd degree burns on my right arm and road rash that removed 40 percent of the skin on my left leg felt like bee stings compared to that infection
I just looked up some pictures of this type of infection. I know it might take a while to get to a point where you might think “Hey, this is an issue” but goddamn, if your infection was anything like what google showed me, my man you’ve got no sense of self preservation lol. I think a good rule of thumb to hold towards any kind of injury is: if the area around the cut is red and hot for a prolonged period of time, get it checked as soon as possible. If it produces pus for a while, too. Those are both signs of bacterial infections as far as I know, and bacteria can be fucking nasty when not taken care of properly. If a bacterial infection spreads to your blood, buddy, you’re fucked
@@Erick-tv8oq At the time I was working 50+ hours a week cleaning cars and changing oil at a car wash. All with no benefits for $8/hour just to barely keep up with bills and stay fed. For some reason I would end up with small minor infections in my hands. I chalked it up to constant contact with all sorts of chemicals, particularly a reaction to silicone based tire shines. This one was minor for about 2 weeks, then in the last 4 days before seeing the doctor it just exploded. The car wash I worked at service primarily hospital staff. Apparently a percentage of the population actually carry MRSA. MRSA is more common in hospitals due to the number of people and other factors like constant cleaning and being in a environment trying to combat it and its predecessor staph. I actually quit the job because I ended up with 2 more MRSA infections. One in my left pinky finger on the side of my finger nail and the other in my left ring finger middle knuckle. The one i originally described was far worse for the pain but the ring finger one still hurts regularly even when its not cold. The whole situation was a blessing in disguise because I ended up find a job making $15/hour with health benefits which led me to save and move away from that shit little town.

Proves that majority of the pain is in the mind. For 5 days he told himself the pain was manageable because the 5 different doctors he had seen didn't think much of it, so he shrugged it off considering the pain he was in.

It was an awesome experience, if your a fan of Steve-O and you are lucky enough to have him coming through your area I can't stress enough that YOU NEED TO BUY A TICKET!!! I drove around 3 hours to attend the show and it was worth it, to say it was crazy is an understatement and he isn't joking with he says Jackass would NEVER allow the things you get to see in the show. I can't recommend The Bucket List Tour enough!
I don't really know how to explain without ruining it. The best way I can explain it is that its stuff that was way too crazy to be allowed in the movies
Honestly, these videos are so well made dude. Like at 4:24 the clip of you in the bed, it’s like Steve o in the hospital is reacting to what Steve o on stage just said and going like “yeah I know”. They’re pretty great keep going Steve O!
I’m happy to see Steve-O genuinely doing well. I mean truly doing well, being happy with his life, family and friends and being safe and healthy. We didn’t love Steve-O because of what he did, we’ve always loved him for who he was.
I don't think Steve O needs to tell anyone that "this video might offend some people" because I'm pretty sure everybody knows what to expect with his videos. I mean that in a good way. Like if you're sensitive then don't watch guys from jackass' youtube channels lol. Yeah dude
I know exactly how this feels, about 6 months ago I had 2nd & 3rd degree burns from the tips of my fingers to the ends of my elbows on both arms, I can 100% say it is the most pain I've ever been through! And I've been through alot of shit... 😬🔥⚠️
I worked in a fastfood restaurant for 8 years. Every now and then you get burnt by the frying fat. Nothing all too serious, but holy mother of God, even just a blister on your hand hurts like hell. Also had some spatters poppin right into my eye a few times. The fun part is having to rush to the kitchen, applying water for a few minutes, some gel and a bandaid and then continue work with burns hovering over the hot deepfryers. Yeah good times.. My worst nightmare was slipping and ending up with my arm in the deepfryer for sure. I can't even imagine you going through something like that. Burns are legit the worst kind of pain.
Dale Earnhardt Jr said it best “fire is hot” That wasn’t him being funny that was his genuine reaction after he was dosed in flames during a corvette road race. He had severe burns even wearing a full fire suit, gloves, mask and helmet.

Hey SteveO, I'm your big fan, I started watching Jackass this Year and you're my favorite from the entire group. And about these burns from that rocket fuel, I AM SURPRISED that you survived such pain and burns, they were right about you, you really are indestructible!
This is why so many like him and I RESPECT Steve-o, He is happy with his life and everyone around him is happy with it. He took Pain, Stupid, Crazy and made a Good Living out of it and the only ones who get hurt, Are the One's wanting it and are getting PAID! Yeah, it's WIERD but in a GOODWAY!
As a fellow burns victim as well mine was from boiling water left me with second degree burns on my low abdomen and thighs. Easily the worst pain ive ever been in nothing even holds a candle to it. I've broke bones and it's not even hurt 5% of the pain. I've literally got a phobia of extremely hot drinks and fire now. I had a synthetic graft basically it's called a 3d printed artificial skin patch. Amazing how much medicine has progressed. IV morphine is unreal to take the pain away very bizarre feeling.
