In July 1845, two ships approached the Canadian Archipelago in search of the allusive Northwest passage. They passed two whale vessels as they moved further inland and that was the last time they were ever seen or heard from. The fate of the journey was shrouded in mystery for the next century but over time, the sickening truth was revealed. This is the story of the fateful Franklin expedition.
