I have a running joke with my oldest best friend. I always say “the sky is purple” and she with all her might screams back at me in total frustration that it’s blue…. 🤣 I have tormented her for years with this so that’s why she reacts that way. I am trying to convince her that it’s purple in any way I can just to make her question the truth. In reality the sky is clear but I shouldn’t tell her that…. Purple skies are the best 💜💜💜
I somehow only found out you two are brothers this year, despite having followed you both for ages. It both blew me away and had me going "but of course they are" at the same time. I am incredibly impressed by how much talent, creativity, and enthusiasm you guys have in your family.
The last few generations that the AI was giving on the castle with blue roofs, chaotic building structure, and the overall fantastical atmosphere (largely from the purple sky), was giving me major warcraft vibes.
A collaboration i didn’t think i needed not did i expect, 2 of my favourite Aussie RU-vidrs in one, also had no idea you guys were brothers but it makes sense
You should look up the time they were testing long bows with their non-RU-vidr third brother. The video is called “Shadiveristy Brothers drive him crazy,” so something along those lines.
I loved how you were both collaborating with the AI, but also with each other to guide the AI. I mean, that bit where Jazza tweaked the colors to anchor the castle into the background... I think that's something Shad hadn't thought of, but it built on what he had shown Jazza. So literally a convergence of knowledge between 2 people fed through an AI to generate an even better image. Crazy.
So your dad was a bit obsessive about castles and very obsessive about trains? I've just had a great idea. You've heard of castle ships, flying fortresses have been done. Now get ready for... castle trains! Armoured trains with battlements and railway guns!
I like the ones that mangled your design into the ground a bit. It gave the impression that the castle had been left abandoned for so long that the world around it was starting to take over. Definitely something I could see coming across in a fantasy game where some light horror or mystery intrigue would be found inside.
I love the chaos of the HelloFresh ad, definitely something I would do with my bro. Although, now i’m curious how often Shad visits Jazza’s office or vice versa
I was genuinely shocked to my core to find out Shad and Jazza are siblings. Especially since Shad was once my best buddy's favourite RU-vidr who I didn't know very well at all, but I love Jazza, and same vice versa
I've known about these lads for like 5 years now. And now I know they're brothers? So dope to see 2 Siblings have gigantic channels, both in totally different fields and not even using eachother as a ladder. Bravo!
Hold up Jazza is Shad BROTHER OMFG I've been watching Jazza forever before I finally followed Shad after seeing his videos pop so often. This is amazing.
This was a fun and informative video. I loved to see the creative process where you two were able to build off of each other’s strengths. I’d love to see more collaboration videos between you two.
What better thing to watch than two Of my fav RU-vidrs collabing!! Also i just want to tha k shadiversity for helping me understand & learn so much about The medieval period weapons, armors & life in general. It definetely helpes me for making my own manga (japanese comics).
Technology like this is going to change Dungeon & Dragons forever. Now we don't have to choose between giving vague descriptions or being overly descriptive. We can just show our players an image.
I'll go even further. The days we play with an AI DM are not far at all. Right now, you can have simple adventures with ChatGPT and it wasn't even designed to do that. Imagine if it could pull all the D&D info it needed from its database.
boost this a bit more and in a coupe of decades we might have real time AI generated video games: both stories, characters, visuals, quests, etc. all feeling very realistic. Then imagine you can give it prompts. I would be such an addicts, especially with some sort of VR helmet en suit..
My mind was blown when they made the 3d printed sword collab. I literally independently subscribed to both of them not revising they were brothers lol.
These crossovers are so enjoyable bc the affection y’all have for each other mixes with the boyish excitement of two brothers goofing off and needing out and jumps off the screen. Would love to see you two do a 40k battle report
LOVE YOU BOTH SO MUCH! I don't comment much (read: at all 9,9) on vids, but I had to pop my head up just to say I love watching each of you for your energy and creativity and LOVE THE HELL out of watching you two just /bounce/ off each other!
I can't believe I forgot! I've been a fan of Shad for ages, and I've recently gotten into Warhammer 40k. I just found Tabletop Time a couple of months ago and I didn't understand why Jazza looked so familiar. Now I know :) You guys both make amazing content, and I'm happy to see you back together for another video. I wish you all the best in the future. Long live the Space Bears, and may the Shadlands prosper. PS: I got your book about half a year ago, and read through it in a matter of days. Amazing work, I can't wait to see what you come up with next.
My brother showed me Critical Drinker, that brought me to FNT when he was a guest and that showed me Nerdrotic and the Fellowship. FNT introduced me to Shad’s channels, which are some of my favorite and now Shad is introducing me to his brother. This is the awesome RU-vid rabbit hole I’ve gone down Loved this collab and you guys have a great relationship!
When I played/watched Paladin on Newgrounds all those years ago, I never imagined I’d be subscribed to its creator and his brother, and excited when they collaborate.
Yeah too often I see other artists either trashing AI art, or saying it's dangerous and shouldn't exist. I just love good art, and the AI makes good art.
@@TechnoMinarchist Agreed. I am an AI scientist, specializing on this subject (computer vision). Despite what many artists and laymen will say, AI art does not steal content from other art. AI art programs merely learn common mathematical patterns in art in a similar way human artists subconsciously learn those same patterns.
watching this AI castle review made me crave for Fantasy Castle review series to come back, perhaps with castles from Elden Ring or House of the Dragon
Not gonna lie, I LOVE these videos. Its just amazing what you can do with this TECH! Some are worried about stolen art (fair enough, thats kinda always gonna happen in ANYTHING), and Artists are naturally SCARED, but the AI is NOT a replacement for an actual artist. Artists have SPECIFIC, HUMAN, uniqueness to their art. The AI can make an image, but an Artist can make it "picture perfect".
anyone else here think I would be a good idea, if we give Shad or Jazza a description of a castle that appears in our own story, (if they feature them, some could not have castles, some might have star ships, I have multiple worlds so I have both) and if we send it to Shad he can give us an opinion on the castle or starship, out of is there practical stuff on there, what could be changed, and the defensive value, and if we send it to Jazza he can draw it.
Cool to see more people catching on to the other more interesting applications of A.I art rather than just generating images from the latent space, I have been doing something similar and upgrading all my old art using the A.I and collaborating with it to breath new life into my designs .. it's a FUCKING BLAST.
I actually never knew these two were brothers I've watched Jazza because I draw and stuff, I've been watching Shadiversity this month because I've been tryna make a big sword (also because the content is good) It's really cool realizing they're brothers
I can't help but condemn AI art because it can potentially take away business that artists need. Not to mention the way it works is using existing art to create it; "borrowing" it so far as to sometimes finding watermarks of the artists in the art. That being said, I genuinely love this video. Definitely want to see more of these collaboration videos since I like both creators. No hate towards the creators.
I independently was subscribed to both and my initial thought was “oh wow what are the odds that two of the very few creators I’m subscribed to did a collab?” And I’ve just been 10x more shook to learn they’re actually brothers
Now that went much better than expected, I'm actually surprised. I knew that landscapes work very well for some reason, but I didn't expect castles (or architecture?) to also get good results. Of course there were a few odd 'mistakes' there as well, the castles were really awesome overall.
I was actually watching a few of Jazza's videos just this morning and then I wondered, "When's the last time Shad and Jazza did a video together? Oh I hope they collab again soon." And suddenly this video pops up, so I guess I'm partially responsible for this happening. You're welcome.
You can tell you're brothers by looks. Also you both are chaotic at times, especially Jazza. It is nice though to see siblings being supportive of each other. You guys are awesome.
Is it wrong, that the moment he shoves the entire piece of meat in his mouth I said "Definitely Shad's brother" (this is the first brother video I saw) - its great - love seeing you two together. And yes, my brother and I might resemble those antics at times. Keep up the great work. 🙂
Great video, the reason the img to img had trouble with purple sky was because detailed parts will denoise more effectively than large expanses of color, so the only way to really get a purple sky would be to turn up the denoising strength super high, but you would likely lose your castle in that regeneration.
The genuine passion on show is remarkable. Seeing creators find ways of using this tech productively shows what a massive benefit these tools can have.
Just a hint Shad, you are using CFG wrong. I recommend not going past 12 in most models. Longer explanation: The best way to understand it is to think the denoiser is generating two images every step of the process, one of them is completely random the other is your prompt, cfg controls how much they are being mixed. Making it too high gives you artifacts, add bad contrast and generally breaks things, you can explore the limits of each model, but for v1.4 or v1.5 of the standard stable diffusion model I recommend 12.5 for a high cfg, you can go a bit higher, but it is not as beneficial.
I love it when you guys do collab videos. Followed you guys individually a long time ago lol glad I found both of your channels authentically. You guys rock!
What i find beautiful is how passionate both brothers are about their respective topics. When they work together it's just wholesome fun, but independently their passion shines through and you can tell they have a real interest and drive to learn more and share their knowledge about their respective subjects.
I think it would wonderful if you tried AI generated armor designs, just to see how wacky or realistic you could get, though I understand why that could turn NSFW very quickly.
Discovered Shad from Friday Night Tights...and discovered Jazza while searching for art tutorials for my daughter. The fact that you two are brothers is absolutely blowing my mind.
Imagine to create a tool that cobbles together products like Campfire (to keep track of characters, world builds, tech levels, etc.) and a story-writing AI (yep, they already exist, can be trained, but mostly suck). You'd then basically just need a world builder to create a consistent world, then define your preferred characters and then simply demand "tragic vampire story" or "epic dwarven saga" within that setting. And of course, patient proof-readers.
Well, unless AI will do some heavy lobbying/bribing there would be a major weakness of that system. The law doesn't recognize "AI art" as creative work and as such, it's not protected by copyrigth.
I've been subbed to both of you for years, in fact been a fan of Jazza so long I still have his animations favourited to my top 10 on Newgrounds, and had no idea this whole time you were brothers haha. How did I miss your other collabs!
A few extra tips to better understand what the Denoising strength and the CFG scale does. Lower Denoising strength means it stays closer to the source image, higher denoising strength gives it more freedom. The CFG scale is more focused on your prompt and matters more if you change the prompt. You could've done more tokens indicating a purple sky to steer the AI more in that direction. Oh and you could try using more general negative prompts like "bad architecture, ugly, deformed, unrealistic, blurry, compression artifacts, low resolution, amateur" to try to improve the quality even more. Another tip if you really like the style, how one image came out note down the seed that image was generated with and use that seed, only change a small part of your initial prompt like from a small castle to a big castle and you get very similar results in a matching style. A good general negative prompt can make the difference between night and day.
